Pleasant Grove, UT  — September 11, 2025 — In honor of the courage and sacrifice shown by first responders, Costa Vida Fresh Mexican Grill will be offering a free Sweet Pork Burrito to all first responders on Wednesday, September 11, 2025.

Police officers, firefighters, and paramedics are invited to visit any participating Costa Vida location on 9/11 to enjoy the brand’s signature Sweet Pork Burrito as a token of appreciation for their service and dedication.

“September 11 is a day we pause to remember, honor, and thank those who run toward danger to protect others,” said Wade Allen, President at Costa Vida. “We want first responders to know that their bravery and selflessness never go unnoticed. This is our small way of saying thank you.”

To receive the free Sweet Pork Burrito, first responders can simply show a valid badge, ID, or proof of service at the counter. The offer is valid for dine-in orders at participating locations, while supplies last.

Costa Vida invites the community to join in recognizing first responders—not just on 9/11, but every day—by expressing gratitude and supporting those who serve.

    They took a great app and ruined it. All my points vanished even though I used the same email and phone number. Now, scanning receipts for points is no longer an option. Instead, you have to visit a third-party site and enter everything by hand. If someone goes there every week, it might make sense. For others, it's just a hassle and not worth the effort.

    I use the reorder feature on this app a lot. It drives me crazy that I can't add another menu item from the checkout page. If I hit the back arrow, my order disappears. I'm forced to place two separate orders just to get what I want. Really frustrating!

    This new app is frustrating. The a la carte choices vanished. Customization went out the window. That sweet $4 off? Gone. Now I need to save up forever for just one free entree. Such a letdown, Costa! This change will push people toward the pricier entrees when they finally have enough points. I really hoped this upgrade would bring back options like two tacos or enchiladas with different proteins, just like the Cafe Rio app offers. But no, not at all.

    Ordering for pickup feels frustrating. The app mainly serves to scan receipts for points. It often wipes the cart unexpectedly. Using the back button leads to losing everything. Plan accordingly if you try to use it for orders.
