What is the Loyalty Voucher?

The Loyalty Voucher rewards repeat bookings with the same pet service provider.

Details:

Receive a 10% voucher upon each completed service with the same Backer.

The voucher has a maximum discount limit, which varies depending on the service type, pet, season, and currency.

The voucher can only be used for bookings with the same pet service provider.

Valid for: 365 days from the date of issue.

Will I be reimbursed if I cancel my booking?

Depending on the conditions of the cancellation, you may be eligible for a full refund. For reimbursement details see below:

10% Cancellation Reimbursement

If your chosen Backer is not suitable after a meet and greet but before the service has begun, you are eligible for a full refund.

Details:

If you choose another Backer, the paid amount will be transferred to your new booking. Any excess will be refunded to your PetBacker balance, less transaction fees if applicable.

For cancellations due to personal reasons, a 10% administration fee applies. You may also choose to change your booking dates to avoid the fee.

Valid for: 365 days from the date of issue.

Applicable when: The pet owner cancels due to personal reasons.

Additional terms:

Last-minute cancellations made less than 24 hours before the booking start time may incur a 50% cancellation fee (see below).

No-shows without a formal cancellation may result in forfeiture of the full booking amount at PetBacker’s discretion.

Refund requests made 6 months or later after the transaction date cannot be refunded due to payment gateway restrictions and will instead be converted into vouchers for future bookings.

50% Cancellation Reimbursement

This reimbursement applies when a booking is cancelled less than 24 hours before the service start time, or when a booking is cancelled for personal reasons after the service has already started.

Details:

The portion of the service already rendered must be paid in full.

You will receive a 50% refund for the remaining unused booking period.

The remaining 50% will be retained in your PetBacker balance for future use.

Valid for: 365 days from the date of issue.

Disputes:

If the cancellation is due to a complaint or dispute, it must be reported to PetBacker before the cancellation is processed. The final refund amount will be determined after the dispute is resolved. PetBacker may mediate when necessary and has final discretion in all cases.

Transparency Notice:

Cancellations made because a Backer was unsuitable may be displayed (under certain conditions) on the Backer’s profile to help future pet owners make informed choices. Cancellations made for other reasons will not appear on the Backer’s profile.

On PetBacker, you are part of a community of trusted pet lovers. If a Pet Sitter asks you to pay them in cash, simply say “No, thanks”. If they insist, we recommend that you report them to us and look for a different sitter. It is in everybody’s best interest to handle all bookings via our website or app.

PetBacker works by matching your request for pet services to pet service providers based on their skills, location and availability. You can also request for pet services directly from your preferred pet service providers by browsing the pet service provider directory in the app and the web. 

Pet service providers who are interested will respond to your request in the app with their profile, reviews from previous customers, along with quotations and details of what is included. A messaging feature allows you to talk with the individual pet service provider for more details before deciding to hire.
