Category Quiz (Trivia)

"Category Quiz" is a quiz where questions must be answered by category. Currently, there are over 10,000 questions available in English and German.

Version 2.0 of Category Quiz integrates Google Play Games, allowing players to compete globally through a highscore list and unlock achievements. To access these features, users need to log in with their Google account.

In Version 2.1, the addition of "Image-Questions" features questions that can only be answered with the help of a displayed image.

Version 3.0 introduces the multiplayer mode, where up to four players from around the world can compete against each other.

The question database is regularly updated to ensure continued enjoyment of the quiz.

A Comprehensive Trivia Experience

In Category Quiz, you can choose between a 'quick game' with randomly selected categories or a 'normal game' where you select your favorite categories, adding a layer of strategic planning to the fun format. Singleplayer-Mode

Players receive 100 extra points for answering all questions correctly in one category. Additional categories completed yield increasing extra points (e.g., 200 points for the second category). If a question is answered incorrectly, the category is "locked."

A question timer feature can be enabled/disabled, giving users 30 seconds to answer each question. Points are awarded based on speed (3 points per remaining second). Users also have three Jokers for assistance.

In the "quick game," six categories are automatically selected. In a "normal game," players can choose their favorite six categories.

Multiplayer-Mode

As of 03/31/20, the Multiplayer-Mode is unavailable as Google has discontinued the Google Play turn-based multiplayer service.

!IMPORTANT!

Users can enable/disable displaying the correct answer when they answer a question incorrectly in the options menu, along with adjusting the timespan for the correct answer display.
