HOW TO PLAY CANASTA

The aim of Canasta is to score as many points as possible by drawing and laying down peer cards. Unlike Rummy, Canasta focuses not on finishing quickly, but on achieving a winning hand. To complete a round, you need a combination of seven cards known as a natural Canasta. A mixed Canasta requires at least four matching cards, with the remainder being wild cards. In addition to Jokers, all 2s are considered wild cards that can stand in for any card.

An active internet connection is required to play.

How can I play at the Games Palace?

To play one of our games, you only need a stable internet connection and a device. Then you can start playing for free anytime!

We're flexible when it comes to devices. Smartphone, tablet, laptop, desktop PC – everything works. Because you can play all games across platforms.

By the way: You can only be online in one game at a time with your profile. For example, you can't switch between two games in two tabs in your browser. As soon as you enter the second game, you automatically leave the first.

What are special rules and when do they apply?

At the Games Palace, premium players can create tables with exciting special rules that everyone can play.

Of course, the special rules vary from game to game. You can find out which special rules exist either in the game help or on the respective website with the game rules.

The only special rule that exists in all games is called training. Tables with this rule do not enter the league.

You can see whether special rules apply at a table by looking at the symbols in the table list.

And while playing, you can click on i or Table Info at the top of the screen at any time to access a list of special rules.

What does Quick Play mean?

Quick Play means that you are automatically placed at a table with other players.

The system searches for tables that match your settings. Where possible, it also looks for suitable opponents – with similar ratings and experience.

What does it mean if a fellow player suddenly sees "FREE"?

If the name "FREE" appears next to one of the seats at your current table, the player who was just sitting at that seat has left the game.

This can happen, for example, if the player's internet connection fails. The player has two minutes to return to the table and is represented by the FREE player – an AI.
