Bloons Adventure Time TD – A Speedrunner’s Unique Take
Hey, what’s up, legends? It’s [Your Name] here, and today I’m diving headfirst into a speedrun of Bloons Adventure Time TD—a game that’s as unique as its name sounds. If you haven’t played it yet, you’re in for a treat. This isn’t your typical balloon-popping game: here, you can only place each tower once. That one-tower-per-type rule forces you to strategize like never before, mixing up your tactics while soaking in a ton of Adventure Time references. And yes, before we jump into the chaos, I’ve got to give a shout-out to our sponsor, Factor.

Jumping Into the Speedrun
I kicked things off in the Throne Room, and my first play strategy was straightforward: I placed Warrior PB—a low-cost yet invaluable unit that can summon additional support. With a horde of Candy Archers joining the fray (even if some of them don’t spawn in the best spots), Warrior PB effectively carried us through the early game, letting me gather enough funds to invest in stronger characters later on.
One of the cool mechanics of the game is that you can only place one instance of each tower. This means you have to be extremely selective with your placements—every single tower counts. Next up, I squeezed in the Flame Princess. She’s one of my absolute favorites. Not only is she a powerhouse who can handle MOAB-class balloons with heat-based attacks, but she also pairs interestingly with Princess Bubblegum, earning a cheeky achievement for placing them together. It’s moments like these that remind you this game isn’t just about blowing up balloons—it’s about timing, placement, and a bit of quirky humor.
As the rounds intensify, you get access to supportive units like Gumball Guards, who, if they spawn in the right spot, can dish out serious damage with rapid attacks. And then there’s the Ice King—strategically placed between two princesses, he brings wizardry to the mix by using his trinket to transform pesky balloons into adorable, yet deadly, penguins!
Strategic Upgrades and Pay-to-Win Characters
What I love about Bloons Adventure Time TD is how it blends strategy with raw, fast-paced action. You have a variety of towers, each with unique abilities and upgrade paths. I focused on boosting damage, speed, and special abilities like Elemental Transform for the Flame Princess and Bullseye for Max, ensuring that even the stubborn MOABs didn’t stand a chance.
Towards the end of the run, I switched gears for the second speedrun segment by dipping into the “pay-to-win” roster, featuring characters like Dungeon Finn and Tuxedo Jake. These characters, although costing ten dollars each, are outrageously overpowered. They really illustrate the balance (or imbalance) in the game: while it’s free-to-play and fun, the temptation to splurge for an edge is always looming.
Final Thoughts
Bloons Adventure Time TD is a breath of fresh air in the mobile game arena. Its one-tower-per-type challenge forces you to think strategically, while the endless stream of Adventure Time references keeps you entertained. Whether you’re a casual player looking for a quirky challenge or a hardcore speedrunner aiming for world records (like hitting that magical time 801 for second place), this game offers a unique experience that’s hard to find elsewhere.
The strategic depth is mixed with fast-paced, humorous gameplay that really shines during a speedrun. Yes, the pay-to-win characters can be a bit over the top, but they add an interesting dynamic for those willing to invest a little extra for a competitive edge.
All in all, I had an epic time running through Bloons Adventure Time TD, and I can’t wait to see how the community builds on these strategies. If you enjoyed this review, hit that like button, subscribe, and share your own speedrunning tips in the comments!
Until next time, stay legendary!
