A brief overview about Minshawi:

Mohamed Siddiq El-Minshawi was born on January 20, 1920, in Upper Egypt, and passed away on June 20, 1969. He was an esteemed Qur'anic reciter and Huffaz. Alongside other greats like Abdul Basit, Mustafa Ismail, and Al-Hussary, he is regarded as one of the most influential Qurra' of modern times, significantly impacting the Islamic community.

Influenced heavily by his father, El-Minshawi also learned from renowned reciters such as Muhammad Rifat and Muhammad Salamah. He began studying the rules of recitation under Ibrahim As-Su'oodi at a young age and memorized the Quran when he was only eight. His travels took him to numerous countries beyond Egypt, including Indonesia, Jordan, Kuwait, Libya, Palestine (Al-Aqsa Mosque), Saudi Arabia, and Syria.
