Here are simple steps to use UK Bus Checker, suitable for new users:

Set up the app:

Open the app and allow location permissions to display nearby bus stops.

Select your preferred language (default is English) and distance units (miles or kilometers) in settings.

Optional: Sign in to your account to sync favorite stops and routes (some features require signing in).

Find a bus stop:

The home screen shows a list of nearby bus stops or a map view. Tap “Locate Me” to locate your current location.

Use the search bar to enter the stop name, postcode or landmark (such as “London Bridge”) to find a specific stop.

View real-time information:

Tap a stop to see real-time bus arrival times, bus routes and estimated arrival times (real-time data is available for 40+ towns and cities, and scheduled times are shown for other areas).

Check bus crowding (supported by some routes) and route map.

Plan a journey:

Tap “Plan Journey” to enter the starting and ending points (such as “King’s Cross to Oxford Street”).

Select your mode of transport (bus, train, subway, ferry, etc.) and departure time, and the app will provide multiple route options.

Why are my favorite stops gone?

Recent updates may have cleared your favorites, especially if you are not logged in. Add stops again and log in to sync data. If the problem persists, contact support (support@buschecker.com).

What if bus times are inaccurate?

Real-time data relies on operators (such as Transport for London). If it is inaccurate, check your network connection or switch to scheduled time mode. Report issues to the in-app support portal.

How do I enable voice assistance?

Enable voice announcements in Settings > Accessibility and the app will read out bus times and stop information for visually impaired users. Make sure VoiceOver (iOS) or TalkBack (Android) is enabled on your device.
