Speed Tracker presents a sophisticated and distinctive mix of a GPS speedometer and a trip computer all within a single application. This app addresses common queries such as: What speed am I going? How far have I traveled? How long did it take me to commute from work to home? How can I share my journeys with family and friends? Whether you're driving, biking, boating, or flying, Speed Tracker collects all essential travel statistics for you. Simply launch the app, and it will automatically log your speed, duration, distance, and more.
SPEEDOMETER
Featuring an elegant analog speedometer dial that is visually appealing for your car's dashboard. Its sharp and clear design ensures readability in both bright sunlight and darkness. You can customize the dial scale to fit various needs. Choose the maximum speed setting of your vehicle and monitor your speed accurately whether you’re traveling by plane, train, car, bike, boat, or bicycle.
TRIP COMPUTER
Monitor and show vital trip data in real-time. This includes current, average, and maximum speeds, direction, total distance, time spent moving and stopped, altitude, and GPS coordinates.
MAP
The integrated GPS location tracker ensures you never lose your way. You can easily switch to map mode to view your current position alongside the route you've taken. The map feature offers a track-up display, which rotates according to your direction of travel.
HUD
The head-up display (HUD) is a remarkable function exclusive to Speed Tracker. Once activated, you can place your phone under the windshield. The specially crafted HUD interface will project the most precise speed directly onto the windshield. The HUD can also serve as a large digital speedometer; simply double-tap the screen to toggle between mirrored and standard views.
TRIP LOG
If you can't recall details about your trips, such as how long it takes to visit friends or the distance to your workplace, the Trip Log feature has got you covered! It records and preserves all pertinent information within the app. Just one click allows you to access ALL of your trips. In the Trip Log, you can view your journey on the map along with statistics like speed, average speed, maximum speed, distance, and total time, among others. Sharing your driving experiences or comparing daily trips becomes straightforward with the Trip Computer. You can also export all recorded trips in available formats like CSV, KML, and GPX.
The free version of Speed Tracker allows for only a single trip to be saved in the trip log, while subscribers to the PRO plan can save an unlimited number of trips.
NOTE:
The app requires access to precise location data on your device to operate effectively, even when it is not actively in use or closed. However, this location data is stored locally on your device and is not sent to any servers or shared with third parties.
Utilizing GPS may significantly decrease battery life.
GPS accuracy can vary due to hardware sensor limitations.
A data connection is necessary for map functionality.
Speed Tracker Pro Review: Your Ultimate On-the-Move Companion for Precision & Insight
From the moment I launched Speed Tracker during my daily commute, it transformed how I perceive every journey—blending sleek functionality with indispensable data that car dashboards simply can’t match. As both a driver and weekend cyclist, I was instantly impressed by its elegant analog-style dial, which delivers crystal-clear speed visibility whether I’m navigating blinding midday sun or dusky backroads. But this app goes far beyond aesthetics: it seamlessly integrates a trip computer, HUD projector, GPS map tracker, and journey logger into one intuitive powerhouse.
The real-time stats became my obsession—monitoring current, average, and max speeds while tracking altitude, direction, and precise coordinates during a coastal drive revealed nuances I’d never noticed. The standout? The brilliant head-up display (HUD): placing my phone beneath the windshield projected a mirrored speedometer onto the glass, creating a futuristic driving aid that eliminated dashboard distractions—perfect for night trips or unfamiliar routes.
For analytics nerds, the Trip Log is a revelation. It automatically documented my commute duration, distance to friends’ homes, and even bike trails, storing everything locally (no cloud privacy concerns!). While the free version saves one trip, Pro’s unlimited logs—exportable as CSV/GPX—let me analyze trends or share scenic routes. The dynamic map view, rotating to match my direction, ensured I never second-guessed a turn.
Minor caveats: GPS dependence impacts battery, and terrain may affect altitude precision. But these are trivial against its value. Whether cruising a sailboat, cycling hills, or flying a drone, Speed Tracker’s customizable scales adapt flawlessly. For travelers craving control, safety, and data-driven insight, this isn’t just an app—it’s the copilot you never knew you needed. 10/10 for making every trip smarter and every journey unforgettable. 🚗🌐⏱️
