A:The eligibility for joining ISA applies to domestic residents as of the joining date or extension date, who meet one of the following criteria:

① Individuals aged 19 or above;

② Residents aged 15 to 18 who have labor income in the most recent tax period.

Additionally, during the three tax periods prior to the tax period in which the joining date or extension date falls, the individual must have been excluded from comprehensive taxation on financial income for at least one period.

(Example) For joining on March 16, 2021, if the individual was subject to comprehensive taxation on financial income in at least one of the 2020, 2019, or 2018 tax years, they are ineligible to join.

2 Q: [Asset Management Mall/Pension > ISA] Can housewives, students, or other individuals with no income join?

A:Even if you currently have no income, you can join if you are a domestic resident.

If you submit an Income Verification Certificate for Individual Comprehensive Asset Management Account (issued by the National Tax Service website), you can join a Citizen-type ISA account.

Even if you do not submit the Income Verification Certificate, you can join a General-type ISA account.
