Setlist Helper comes in three distinct versions, as detailed below. Users can acquire premium versions through the app.
Free Version

Setlist Helper Overview
Release notes for the Setlist Helper for Android
Setlist Helper is an app for musicians that need a reference to their song catalog. It is meant to replace the physical songbook. You can organize your songs into a setlist. Also, you can organize your lyrics by assigning Tags to songs such as Acoustic, Dance, Worship, etc… You can search for lyrics or add your own custom lyrics.
The app should open with the “Home menu” open. To open the main menu tap the button with 3 lines. It will only appear if you are at one of the root level screens. Root level views are the first view that appears when you tap one of the menu items shown below.
1.Songs – Shows you the list of all the songs in your repertoire.
2.Setlist – Shows you a list of all the Setlists.
3.Tags – Shows a list of all the tags. Tags are like categories. It is a way to organize your songs into a smaller set.
4.Lyric Search – Lyric search allows you to search most websites on the internet for your lyrics or lyrics with chords.
5.Sync – Allows you to back up your data to www.setlisthelper.com.
6.Preferences – Change the settings in the app such as Dark Theme, Show/Hide song attributes in the list.
7.Help – Takes you the page you are looking at right now.
Getting Started with the Setlist Helper android app
To get started with the Setlist Helper Android app follow these steps.
1. Remove the Sample Setlist and Sample Songs (Optional but recommended)
The Sample Setlist and Songs are there to show you what the app can do. There are 2 areas you will need to remove items from:
(1)Setlist – Touch the sample setlist. A menu will appear then touch the “Remove” menu item.
(2)Songs – There are 4 sample songs. Touch each sample song and select “Remove”.
2. Create an account at www.setlisthelper.com (optional but recommended)

3. Add your songs.
There are 3 ways to add your songs. Click on any of the links below for more information
(1)Add them at http://www.setlisthelper.com
(2)Search for lyrics
(3)Add songs Manually.
(4)Use the “Import” menu option.
Optional – Add Lyrics. This will be discussed more below.
4. Create a setlist.
(1)To add a setlist click the “Setlists” button on the home page.
(2)Touch the plus button. This will bring up the Setlist add page.
The Setlist name is the only thing required on the Setlist add page. However, It is good to add the gig date and gig time for future reference.
5. Add songs and breaks to your setlist.
There are 2 types of items you can add to the setlist.
(1)Songs – You can add all the details of the song or just the song name.
(2)Breaks – These are breaks that you may take or time that you will talk to your audience.
6. Add lyrics to Songs
Add lyrics to a song by touching on the song. A menu will appear. Select the “Lyrics” menu button.
This will take you to the lyrics screen. There you can type your lyrics.
You can also add lyrics at http://www.setlisthelper.com. This is much easier to do on your desktop computer.

9. Sync your songs and setlists
On the home page, there is a “Sync” button. Click this and all your songs and setlists can be seen on http://www.setlisthelper.com. Also, any edits from the website will be brought to the app.

How to use Tags:
1.Open the main menu in the Android app by tapping the upper left hamburger button or swipe your finger from the left of the screen to the right.
2.Tap the add button and type a name for your tag.
3.Tap the Tag that you created. This will take you to the song catalog that contains the tagged songs. The song list should be empty after you add the tag.
4.While you are in the tagged song list tap the + button. This will give you three options:
(1)Add Song – This allows you to manually add a new song. After add the song it will be tagged with the selected tag name.
(2)From Catalog – This shows you your entire song catalog. Check all the songs that you want to tag with the selected tag name.
(3)Lyric Search – This option allows you search for a song on the internet. After you add the song your searched for it will be tagged with the selected tag.
Filtering by Tags in the song catalog
1.Open the main menu and select Songs.
2.Tap the menu in the upper right with 3 dots and choose “Filter by Tags”

After you have a filter setup if you want to clear the filter follow the steps above but for step 3 choose “Clear filters”
Filters are shared between the Songs and the “From Catalog” option when adding songs to a setlist. You can clear the filter in both views.
