Important: SBB Preview serves as a preliminary version of the SBB Mobile application. This platform is intended for testing new and innovative features that we plan to incorporate into the SBB Mobile app moving forward.
The fundamental capabilities for checking timetables and purchasing tickets for travel within Switzerland are aligned between SBB Preview and SBB Mobile. We have designated the Preview app with a grey color to aid in easy identification.
The core feature of the app is its revamped navigation bar, which includes the following sections and functionalities:
Plan:
• Organize your trip through an easy timetable inquiry via the touch timetable, or utilize your current location as either your starting point or destination by pinpointing it on the map.
• Acquire your ticket for travel across all of Switzerland in merely two clicks. Any travelcards linked to your SwissPass will be automatically applied.
• Enjoy particularly economical travel options with supersaver tickets or Saver Day Passes.
Trips:
• When you buy tickets, your journey will automatically be saved in the 'Journeys' section.
• Even if you choose not to purchase a ticket, you're still able to manually save your journey in the timetable.
• The app provides assistance throughout your entire journey, offering updates on delays, disruptions, and transfer times via push notifications.
EasyRide:
• Simply check in, board, and begin your journey throughout the complete GA Travelcard network.
• EasyRide determines the appropriate fare based on the routes you've traveled and charges you accordingly afterward.
Tickets and travelcards:
• Digitally present your public transport travelcards utilizing SwissPass Mobile.
• It also gives you a summary of both your valid and expired tickets and travelcards listed on the SwissPass.
Profile:
• Easily access your personal settings along with our customer support options.
Data security and permissions.
Why does SBB Preview require these permissions?
Location:
To find connections starting from your current position, GPS functionality must be enabled so SBB Preview can identify the nearest stop. This is also necessary if you wish to display the nearest stop in the timetable.
Calendar and email:
You have the option to save connections into your calendar and to share them via email (with friends or to an external calendar). SBB Preview needs read and write access to import your desired connection into the calendar.
Camera access:
To capture images directly within SBB Preview for your customized touch timetable, camera access is required. You will be prompted for permission.
Internet access:
SBB Preview requires internet connectivity for accessing timetable information and purchasing tickets.
Storage:
To facilitate offline functions such as maintaining lists of stops, connection history, and ticket purchases, SBB Preview needs access to your device's storage to save specific app settings.

Can I shop without logging in?
Yes, you can also shop as a guest without logging in.
Can I only log in with a SwissPass login?
Yes, you can log in only with a SwissPass login. Your address will be imported from your SwissPass data, so you don't need to re-enter your delivery address.
What can I see in my customer account?
If you log in with SwissPass, you can see your orders (excluding public transport tickets), your billing and delivery address, and your stored payment methods in your customer account.
How can I change my billing address?
Go to swisspass.ch (Link opens in a new window), log in, and select "Change address." The address change will also be applied to the SBB Shop.
Are all products immediately available?
Product availability is indicated by a traffic light display. Immediately available products are usually delivered between 2 and 5 business days after receipt of the order. If this is not possible, you will be notified accordingly. Cancellation of a purchase due to delayed delivery is possible.
What delivery options are available?
Every physical product from the SBB Shop is shipped via A-Post or PostPac Priority.
Foreign currencies are shipped via A-Post Plus. This allows for electronic shipment tracking.
Can I enter separate delivery addresses?
Yes, you can store multiple delivery addresses and select them individually for each order. However, when ordering foreign currencies online (SBB Change), a delivery address that differs from the billing address is not possible for compliance reasons.
Why do I have to provide my telephone number?
Your telephone number makes it easier for us to contact you promptly if we have any questions about your order.
