Ride with GPS - Bike route navigation

I've been using this app to map out the rural routes I take and it's been working great. However, I did face some challenges with u-turns as it tends to go around the block instead of making the turn, but placing a point close to the turn usually solves the issue. I suggest investing in this app to help newbies learn the routes, it's more effective than traditional paper maps.

The guided navigation and route planning are really awesome. I've been using this app for road biking and mountain biking for almost four years. Nowadays, I also use it for trail hiking around the Bay Area. It works just as well for hiking as it does for biking, and I'm glad I kept my subscription. I deducted one star because of some issues with the overall quality, like wrong navigation cues and a few bugs or annoying things in the app.

That app used to be awesome for cycling, but now it's just not good at all. It has become unreliable and full of issues. It's better than Strava in terms of elevation accuracy, but the distance measurement is all over the place. Unlike other apps like Komoot and MTB Project, you can't download your own GPX route. Plus, you can only use it for cycling, there's no option for walking or hiking.

Since 2017, I've been using RWGPS for riding and racing cross country on my horse. It's super user-friendly, and the support team has always been quick to solve any issues I've had. As an Endurance ride manager, I bought a club account and created course routes for our riders to navigate the ride course. RWGPS has really boosted their confidence in navigating, making the ride safer and more fun. Now, most local Endurance events use RWGPS, and riders love it. I'm so thankful for this tool - it's become essential for me!

I love using this app for planning my routes. It's really easy to send them to my Garmin. I appreciate you creating such a fantastic product.

For three years, I've been using this app regularly. At the beginning, I used the free version, but for the past couple of years, I've switched to the paid basic version. I find the turn-by-turn directions and advanced editing features very useful. The tech support team responds quickly when I have a question or issue. Route planning on the desktop website is effective, especially because it utilizes Google Maps. This allows me to check if roads have bike lanes using Street View. Another handy feature is the auto pause function.

Just started using Ride with GPS. Got a mount from Bike Gallery. The voice prompts for my planned rides are awesome! The recording feature works really well too! The only slightly confusing part is when it tells me to make two quick turns, but I actually just need to go straight and switch to a bike path. Also, sometimes it marks a connection as possible when it's not, or the other way around. I try to be familiar with the route before planning it. Their email support is top-notch! Overall, I'd rate it 4.5 out of 5!

I've decided to sell my Karoo 2 cycling computer at the end of my 2023 riding season. Instead, I'll stick with using my phone and the Ride with GPS app. I prefer the bigger screen on my phone and enjoy the route planning options available on both the website and the app. Since I have the paid version, I make good use of the turn-by-turn directions feature. I was choosing between Komoot and Ride with GPS and ended up sticking with Ride with GPS mainly because it integrates well with my Varia radar and makes it easy to add points of interest.
