We have three fantastic offices and, of course, offer remote work options! 🎉

Our Tech and Product teams can work completely remotely – EU-wide! However, our Marketing and Business teams do benefit from being in the office regularly, as it enhances communication and makes team collaboration twice as enjoyable. 🙂 Specifically, this means you’ll be in the office 1-2 days a week, and the rest of the time you can work flexibly from anywhere.

Of course, there are exceptions – if you want to work a few extra days in the sun, visit your parents back home for a longer period, or just need a change of scenery, that’s absolutely fine 😊

🤝 How we build our team together

As a tech startup in the football sector, one thing was clear to us from the very beginning: Prematch will only be successful with a brilliant team. We stand for an open and tolerant team culture in which everyone contributes their strengths. We are united by the courage to go new ways, the conviction to make a difference with Prematch and the will to grow together (and as a person) beyond ourselves 💫.

What business stage are we at?

In early 2021, Prematch was just an idea on paper. Since then, a lot has happened: We won various funding programs and accelerators, were able to attract great investors, and after the German launch in August 2022, we stood at #1 in the AppStore ahead of Instagram, Youtube, TikTok & Co. But one thing is very clear:

👶 We are an early stage startup with all the advantages and disadvantages that this exciting corporate phase brings.

Right now, every team member can have an extremely large say in shaping the company and making decisions. We assign a lot of responsibility and firmly believe that each person grows from their tasks, but especially from mistakes.

🎯 In doing so, we have big goals: Prematch should become the leading platform in soccer and break new ground.

We are funded for the next year and can work with you to keep Prematch growing fast.

What is the interview process like?

Our interview process is very flexible and depends on the type of job, your availability and whether you are on-site in Cologne or remote. Once we've met someone we think will be a good fit, we move super fast!

During the interview, Lisa will clearly define what the interview process looks like and who from the team will be involved. This way we can transparently communicate what you can expect from us and when.

Meet&Culture Chat with Lisa (20min, clarify basics, get to know each other informally, share information about prematch and position/role).

Position Chat depending on which team you join (30-45min).

Challenge&Team Chat (~1 hour, depends on team and role).

Culture Chat (~1 hour, discuss the challenge, deep discussion about the role, get to know the team).

Offer Chat with one of the three founders Nik (Product), Lukas (Business) or Fiete (Tech) (30 minutes).

What will the onboarding process look like?

Our onboarding playbook is your key to a sensational start. We have divided it into days & different focal points so that you don't lose track. Every day you have 1-2 hours to browse through the playbook. Not only will you get off to a perfect start, but you'll also have all the information you need ☺️

During your onboarding, you will not only get to know your own department, but also the entire #teamprematch. Whether you're in the office in Cologne/Berlin or working remotely, you'll get to know everyone. This gives you a complete overview and allows you to make direct connections 🤩

Roughly every 4 months, we arrange offsite events where we can not only plan and design our new goals, but also fully enjoy our time together as a team.

Typically, we gather at venues in the Netherlands, Belgium, or Germany, as these are the most accessible for the entire team.

On the offsites we give the team as much freedom as possible and decide together what is best for us as a group. ☺️

Do we have rituals with the team?

Yes and no. Since we are in our development phase, we are constantly adapting the rituals and developing them further with the team. Currently, we have the following rituals as a group:

🫶 Monthly "All-Hands-Day" A real highlight for us! Once a month, all team members who live near one of our offices (including Tech and Product) come together in the office. It’s a great opportunity to connect in person, collaborate, and strengthen the team spirit. The day always wraps up with a relaxed team evening.

☕️ Coffee-Talks Here, it's about more than just coffee – it's about connections. Whether you're in our Cologne office, the Berlin office, the London office or working remotely, we want to ensure you're always in touch and never feeling alone.
