Where it all started

2011

On the evening of March 3, 2011, FIA President Jean Todt and Spanish businessman, Formula E Founder and Chairman Alejandro Agag, met in a Paris restaurant and noted on a napkin the dream of Formula E.

Season 1

First race takes place in the grounds of the Olympic Park in Beijing.

Season 2

Formula E welcomes 7 new manufacturers.

Season 3

Jaguar made its return as a manufacturer in motorsport for the first time in 12 years.

Season 4

Increase in battery capacity enabled drivers to complete the new race format of 45 minutes without making a mid-race car swap.

Season 5

Formula E reinvented racing again with ATTACK MODE.

Season 6

Racing continued despite the challenges of coronavirus.

Season 7

Formula E gained World Championship status granted by the FIA.

Season 8

New qualifying format, now with one-on-one duels. Formula E's 100th race.

How do I apply for a job?

To apply for a job, simply scroll up to find our 'current vacancies' section, browse the available job listings, and select the position you're interested in. Once you find a suitable role, click on "Apply for this role," fill out the application form, and upload your CV. After submitting, you'll receive a confirmation email that your application has been received.

Do you offer an Internship programme?

Formula E offers an exciting 10-month internship programme for those looking to start their career in motorsport. Internships typically start in October through to August each year. The internship roles vary each year so keep your eyes peeled for when the applications launch. Please see the timeline below for more information:

Step One – Initial Application. In the application form you will find a series of questions with up to 150 words required for each one. We aren’t looking for a CV or traditional qualifications, just tell us about you!

Step Two – Phone Interview. We will be holding short phone interviews with a small number of candidates from the initial application stage. Candidates will be contacted to book in a date, time and will be given an overview of the questions we will ask.

Step Three – Assessment Day. If successful following the phone interview, you’ll be invited to our Office in London for an assessment centre. More information will be provided as part of the invite.

If you don’t see a role that matches your qualifications, we encourage you to connect with us and select a specific Department that interests you. This will set automated alerts to notify you when new positions open up.

How do I get to the Office for my Interview?

Our office is a short walk from Barons Court, Hammersmith and Kensington Olympia tube and train stations. Alternatively, we can store your bike for you. Unfortunately, we do not have any parking available at the office. 

On arrival to the Shortlands building:

Sign in as a guest at the ground floor reception

Grab your temporary QR code to use for the day to access the turnstiles and lift area

Come up to the 9th floor and head towards the office with the neon FE sign on the wall

Ring the buzzer to the left of the door and our Office team will let you in

How do I request reasonable adjustments at application or interview?
