Pepper is a platform where consumers can share offers. After a user shares a deal, other users can vote ‘hot’ or ‘cold’. In addition, the large community helps you by giving advice and sharing experiences. This way, the offers always remain at a high level and there is no room for ‘fake offers’. Everyone is welcome!

What does Pepper stand for?

Nowadays, you are bombarded with marketing slogans and fake offers in everyday life. Pepper wants to bring a breath of fresh air to the shopping world, so that you can escape from all this marketing nonsense for a while. On Pepper, fake offers are punished by the community, which is why you will find the best (and sincere) shopping tips here.

Pepper.com can best be summarized as ‘real offers, without marketing blah blah’. Self-promotion is prohibited and the community is always honest, so we know for sure that everything that is hot is also a really good offer!

What does a good Pepper deal look like?

Pepper.com stands for ‘real deals, without marketing blah blah!’. Price comparison is essential for a deal on Pepper, because we usually attach little value to recommended prices. We also like to see shipping costs, payment methods, reviews, specifications and other product information in a deal, so that users have all the necessary information to make a purchase (or not of course…).

Before you place a deal, you can compare the price on Tweakers.net (electronics) or Google Shopping. Is the price of your deal higher than the lowest price on a price comparison site? Then the offer is unfortunately not enough for Pepper and we will most likely not accept it...

Can anyone create an account?

Yes, you can! Anyone can join the Pepper community. To do this, click on the ‘register’ button. The process is very easy, we actually only need your email address and password.

How can I vote and respond?

You only need an account on Pepper to vote ‘hot’ or ‘cold’ and respond to offers. By voting, you can indicate whether you think an offer is good or bad. The more people like the offer, the hotter (and better) the offer! By responding, you can share your experiences with a product or service, so you can prevent others from making a bad purchase or help them make a great purchase.

When is a deal ‘hot’?

An offer is ‘hot’ when it has been voted to 100 degrees or higher by the community. When it reaches this point, it will automatically appear on the ‘hot’ page of Pepper. The degrees per vote differ per user, because the votes of active users have a higher value than those of new members.

Why is my offer being adjusted?

It is possible that your offer is being adjusted by the team. This is usually because information or an image is missing from the offer. We do this so that other users have all the essential information about the offer. You can also adjust your offer yourself.

Why is my offer or response checked?

To prevent spam and self-promotion, we check the first responses and offers from users. If a number of your offers (5) have already been accepted (and therefore appeared online), they will automatically appear online. The same applies to accepted responses (2). However, if a user has a warning or temporary ban, this can be reactivated.

How are my contribution points calculated?

You can earn 10 points for a hot deal you posted; or a helpful comment you made.

How often are points updated and when are they visible on my profile?

Your points are updated instantly, so as soon as your deal becomes hot or your comment becomes helpful (3 likes), you will see them directly on your profile.
