MyChildAtSchool - Parent-school engagement

This app has been fantastic for me! I can easily check my kids' attendance and keep track of their uniforms. Huge thanks to Fullbridge Academy for creating such a helpful tool!

The school's system feels pretty pointless sometimes. Clicking on the Information icon reveals nothing about the homework, which leads me to the computer every time. Searching for information is hit or miss. Sometimes, the teacher updates it, but other times, it's blank. With GCSEs around the corner, this situation gets frustrating. It takes up so much time when it should be easier and more efficient. I just want to support my child better.

I noticed something has changed. I can’t see the lessons for the day or my child’s attendance anymore. It takes so much time to log in online just to check this information. I updated the app recently, hoping it would fix the glitch, but no luck. Even after uninstalling and reinstalling the app, nothing has improved.

The payment process needs a serious overhaul. It feels confusing, especially for parents trying to navigate it. Users often have to guess their way through the steps. While things eventually work out, there's a lack of clarity about what payments cover when you reach that stage. Adding another child into the mix complicates things even more. The system shows signs of improvement, but the business of increasing amounts before finalizing payment adds unnecessary frustration.

I topped up my child's school dinner account. The process was smooth and quick. No hassle at all. I also reported absences through the same platform. Everything worked perfectly!

Everything's set up to allow notifications, both in the app and system settings. It's really annoying. I find myself checking the app constantly, just to stay on top of announcements and messages. The school switched to a new app from Edulink. It feels cheap in many ways. The design looks basic, almost like it came straight from an app kit. Small text on buttons makes it hard to read. Behavior reports mix positive and negative points together, which is frustrating. The biggest concern? No push notifications. With the previous app, I'd get alerts when my child had homework or updates. This simple feature seems like a must-have.
