Introduction

Moje Kartice – kartice zvestobe is a Slovenian digital loyalty-card wallet developed by 4pi.si that lets users store membership cards, loyalty and rewards cards, coupons, vouchers, and catalogue offers on their smartphone. Cards with barcodes can be added manually or scanned, and many of the most commonly used cards in Slovenia are preloaded with recognizable icons for quick selection. The app displays each card’s number, provider brand, and barcode when selected. Coupons and catalogues from participating merchants are also available. Free to download on Android and iOS, the app aims to streamline access to discounts and reduce the need to carry physical cards.

Transform classic plastic cards (like loyalty cards, store cards, membership cards, and coupons) equipped with barcodes into a digital format. No more digging through overstuffed wallets or forgetting cards; now the entire family can easily access them. All your cards are always available on your smartphone.

How to use it?

Some providers also offer discount coupons and catalogs integrated with their cards.

For easier identification, popular card images commonly used in Slovenia are preloaded!

When adding a card, you can manually enter the barcode, or for most smartphones with better cameras, you can scan it using the barcode reader. Additionally, you can add the owner's name, select the provider, and include any desired text.

The list of entered cards is displayed on the main screen, and when selecting a specific card, it shows the barcode along with the number, provider, and graphical symbol of the provider.

FAQs

1. Why won't the store scan the barcode on my phone screen?

There are several possible causes, primarily related to the laser barcode reader. Most friendly sellers either use a handheld reader or manually re-enter the code.

With the arrival of newer readers at the box office, this problem should be eliminated.

The problem may also be caused by phones with poor screen resolution, resulting in slightly blurry barcodes.

2. My phone won't scan the barcode on my card! (Android)

When installing the app, we recommend using the QuickMark Barcode Scanner app, which currently offers the best barcode reading performance. Your phone may also not scan the barcode if the camera resolution is too low. You can identify this problem if your phone doesn't sharpen the image.

In this case, manually re-enter the number, and a barcode will be drawn for you.

3. Why doesn't the app have its own scanner for scanning barcodes? (Android)

To better support app development, we recommend the best scanning apps currently available to ensure optimal barcode reading.

4. I can't scan the barcode with my phone. What number did I enter? 

Type the number below the barcode. If you enter any other number, the barcode will not be drawn correctly and will be useless at the checkout. For Spar cards, be sure to scan the numeric code, as the card number next to it is different from the barcode.

5. I can't scan the barcode with my phone, and there are no numbers below it.

In this case, it's necessary to scan the barcode or, if possible, the barcode number posted in your profile on the merchant's user website. If there's no other solution, have a friend with a better phone scan your barcode, and you can transcribe the number that appears on their phone.

6. I want to add a card that's not in the list—how do I do that?

Currently, you can take a photo of the front and back of the card and send it to info@cnej.si. If your name is visible on the card, that's not a big deal—the data will be erased, and only the basic card image will be visible in the app.

7. How do I manually enter the code—EAN13 (see example)?

For EAN13 (or EAN8) barcodes, the numbers are written in three (or two) columns in the "My Card" app. So, for this example, we'd enter "2123451234560."

8. What data does the app collect?

Data about app usage is collected internally to help us upgrade and prepare new features.

This uses Google Analytics, the most widely used statistical data collection technology, used by most websites.

Data such as device type, resolution, network the user is coming from, and access time are collected. When a card is used, we also record the time of use and the type of card.

We do not collect any personal information, such as card number, owner name, or description.

Currently, there's no way to turn off data collection; we'll add this setting in a future version.

9. I have a Xiaomi phone in dark mode

If you use a Xiaomi device in dark mode, simply turn it off in the "My Card" app.

Data Backup and Data Transfer

For Android 2.2+

Due to changes in Android 11 and higher, the kartica.json file is only saved in one of the following locations:

\Internal shared storage\Android\data\en.cnej.cards or

\Internal shared storage\Android\data\files\en.cnej.cards\kartica.json

First, select "Import data from backup" in the settings menu. If the app doesn't find any new cards, follow the instructions below.

If the card doesn't transfer via Transfer to a New Device (Transfer Data), you can manually import it by following the steps below.

1. Connect your existing phone to your PC via a USB cable and open File Transfer.

2.) Locate the kartice.json file in the aforementioned location (\Internal shared storage\Android\data\en.cnej.cards or \Internal shared storage\Android\data\files\en.cnej.cards\kartice.json).

Temporarily save the file on your PC.

4.) Connect your new phone to your PC via a USB cable and open File Transfer (Figure 1). Copy the kartice.json file to your Downloads folder.

5.) Open the My Cards app in Settings, select , and point to your Downloads folder.

6.) The app reports the number of cards imported. If the card already exists, it will not be imported again.

Android Version 2.0+

The My Cards app in version 2.0 automatically saves data to the SD card and Google Cloud whenever a change is made. This creates a backup copy of the data on the imported card.

The path is as follows: SDCard/Backup/filename "kartice.json". If your phone doesn't have a physical card, it usually has a simulated "emulated" file that behaves like a physical card, meaning that if you connect your phone to a PC, it will also appear as a disk.

Transferring Data to a New Device (Manual Transfer via SD Card)

On your existing device, copy the "kartice.json" file to your PC (via a data cable). Perhaps the easiest way is to download the entire "Backup" folder.

Backing Up 

--Connect your new device and download the "Backup" folder to it.

--Install the app or launch "My Cards" and select "Import Cards from Backup" in the "Settings" menu.

--During the import, the card is checked to see if it already exists, and the provider and card number are compared, so you don't have to worry about losing existing cards—new cards will always be added.

--Or use the "Choose File" option.

--If you have an older backup in the "kartice.db" format, you can use the online tool at orodja.mojekartice.si to convert it to "kartice.json."

Automatically through Google Cloud
