Inconsistent data on road conditions and closures

The MoDOT Traveler Information application provides real-time updates on construction areas, incidents, and weather-related road conditions on roads managed by the state of Missouri. Work zones that might affect travel are uploaded automatically. It is recommended to use this app as just one resource when evaluating driving conditions. Additionally, users should check local weather forecasts and reports from law enforcement agencies. The weather radar updates roughly every five minutes. In the advanced search feature, only routes with work zones or incidents are shown.

An Indispensable Guardian Angel for Missouri Road Warriors

MoDOT Traveler Information has fundamentally reshaped how I navigate Missouri’s highways, transforming stressful drives into confident journeys with its razor-sharp, real-time intelligence. As someone who frequently crisscrosses the state, I’ve come to rely on this app like a trusted co-pilot—its automatically updated work zone alerts consistently spare me from phantom traffic jams, while hyperlocal incident reports (often flagged before roadside signs appear) give me precious minutes to reroute. The app’s genius lies in its specificity: unlike generic navigation tools, it drills into state-managed roads with surgical precision, revealing every construction bottleneck or weather-related hazard lurking on my route. I’m particularly awed by the live-updating weather radar, refreshing every five minutes with near-telepathic accuracy during Missouri’s volatile storms, letting me time departures around downpours or ice.

Though wisely framed as one tool among many—a humble reminder to consult law enforcement bulletins or local forecasts—its curated advanced search feature cuts through the noise, spotlighting only roads with active disruptions. This focus transforms overwhelming data into actionable insight: I’ve averted countless delays by spotting a single crimson-highlighted incident on I-70 or a flash-flooded backroad near Springfield. The interface balances urgency with clarity, prioritizing critical intel without clutter. For commuters, truckers, or weekend explorers alike, MoDOT Traveler Information isn’t just convenient—it’s a lifeline that marries granular control with peace of mind. Download it, and you’ll wonder how you ever drove Missouri blind.

Drive informed. Drive safer.

Downloading the update fixes the road conditions error.

I feel the frustration with the latest update. It’s annoying to have to exit the app multiple times just to check the cameras. Seems like Modot isn’t paying attention to these reviews. Nothing has improved since the update.

One of the top traffic cam apps in the country ranks alongside Virginia's. Virginia holds the title for having the best, with features that stand out and provide real-time updates. This app offers great functionality, showing live images and alerts about road conditions. Many find it helpful for navigating busy areas and avoiding delays. It’s a go-to choice for drivers looking to stay informed on the road.

Traffic cameras in Springfield used to function well, but recently they have not. It's frustrating for everyone relying on them. Hopefully, someone can address this issue soon. Thank you for bringing it up!

In February, a snowstorm hit while I-35 closed southbound at Holt. Missouri 511 had no recommendations. Local convenience stores suggested buying a map or using GPS. That didn’t help with the highway closed. We went west, then south, and ended up sitting for an hour just five miles from the next town. A truck turned around in a tricky spot and slid into some trees. We decided to go home. Safety mattered more than anything else. Our trip wasted 200 miles each way.

My phone's screen feels tiny when I try to look at maps in the browser. It pushes me to download the app instead. But then, the maps in the app don’t display any weather conditions. No options to switch things up. This is an official government app, and it barely does anything useful.

Absolutely! It's incredible to find gratitude in the midst of chaos. Uncertain times often highlight the things that truly matter. Moments of appreciation can bring a sense of peace and clarity, even in a whirlwind. It's important to hold onto those positive feelings and find balance amidst the turmoil. Cherishing the good brings light to even the darkest days. Resilience shines through gratitude.

I tried to check the traffic cameras, and I managed to load the live feed just once. Whenever I switched to a different camera, a message popped up saying, "Can't play this video." After that, when I toggled the camera option off and back on, I couldn't even tap the camera icon. The only solution was to completely close the app and open it again. I wonder if it's my device or the app's issue. Maybe both? Either way, it’s still very useful!

The app shows a four-line description about delays and road information. The camera views are missing. It doesn’t provide much help.
