Minds is a social network that operates on open-source principles, focusing on the importance of freedom online. You can express yourself openly, safeguard your privacy, earn cryptocurrency rewards, and regain authority over your social media experience.

Our objective is to enhance global discussions by promoting Internet freedom.

What we mean by Internet freedom includes:

■ The right to free speech

■ Ensuring user privacy

■ Committing to open source development

■ Upholding self-sovereignty

■ Enabling governance by the community

■ Supporting a crypto-based economy

Our software and algorithms are transparently shared as open-source, emphasizing accountability and clarity. We base our content policy on the principles of the First Amendment, managed by a community jury to reduce bias and censorship.

We hold the belief that meaningful conversations can only take place if individuals have a platform to voice their thoughts.

Earn cryptocurrency and share in revenue

The true worth of a social network stems from its community. It’s only fair that you receive recognition for your role in the network's development and success.

Minds provides you with MINDS Tokens (ERC-20) daily for producing popular content, referring others, or contributing liquidity. These tokens allow you to promote your content (1 token = 1,000 impressions) or show appreciation to content creators by sending tips, which also grants access to exclusive benefits.

Consider upgrading to Minds+ to enjoy premium content and submit your own material for a portion of our revenue stream.

For an optimal experience, we suggest using Android versions 12, 11, or 10.

What is Minds?

Founded by Bill Ottman in 2011, Minds is a free, open source, crowdfunded, highly innovative and encrypted social networking platform. On Minds, people are rewarded with digital currency for their activities and can exchange that currency for ad space or use it to trade with others on the site. The goal of Minds is to help create a free and open Internet where privacy is ensured and people are fairly compensated for their efforts online with viral reach and revenue opportunity.

Minds is currently a privately held company, but took a major step in becoming community-owned when it raised over $1 million from over 1,500 investors worldwide in a SEC Regulation CF equity-crowdfunding campaign. You can't log in. When you try the Brave browser on your laptop, everything looks strange. Icons seem to be replaced with some kind of code. It feels really off. Then there's Google making things even worse. You can't read comments or use the search feature. Frustrating situation, for sure.

You're exploring the platform, discovering all its features. Frustrations pop up with both the app and browser versions. The app keeps logging you out, which feels odd. A message mentions it may not be optimized for your device. You’re on a Samsung tablet. Despite these issues, you enjoy the platform overall. You support improvements and hope to see them soon.

It really speaks volumes. A music page would be amazing. Local musicians connecting could take it to another level. This site has so much potential to be the go-to social media platform. Exciting times ahead! More people need to hop on board.

Using this app on my OnePlus 6T has been really frustrating. This phone handles other apps without any issues, but this one is a different story. It’s filled with glitches and bugs that ruin the experience. The scrolling is choppy, making it hard to browse through feeds smoothly. It often freezes up, forcing me to close it repeatedly within just fifteen minutes. The interface feels awkward and unhelpful. Plus, sometimes posts keep repeating, needing a reset to fix it. Overall, a lot of problems here.

Awesome app! The users are really friendly. Google has some restrictions on comments and replies for this app. You might want to try accessing it through other platforms instead of the Google App Store. If you're in Australia, it works perfectly on a desktop PC. Enjoy!

The app has a nice vibe. Some things could be better. I uploaded sexy pics but couldn't find them in the app. I checked the site, and they showed up there. The trending section needs improvement too. It takes too many clicks to see what's popular. I want everything in one place. Just show me what's trending without all the extra steps.

I just jumped into this new platform. At first glance, it looks like other social media, but it has its unique vibe. The best part? It embraces free speech. No stress from algorithms dictating what I see. It's easy to navigate and creates a space for quality content. Exciting stuff awaits!

Wow, this app is a real struggle! I enjoy using Minds, but the performance is really rough. It stutters a lot and doesn't switch to landscape mode. Trying to open a picture in landscape can be frustrating. On the bright side, their mobile browser runs smoothly!
