About Merge Explorer:

Merge Explorer is the official 3D and AR science-learning app by Merge EDU, built to make K-8 STEM concepts something students can see, hold, and explore. The Merge Explorer app is not a static textbook viewer — it turns abstract science into more than 100 interactive simulations students control with a smartphone, tablet, or Merge Cube.

Merge Explorer

Inside Merge Explorer, learners can hold a beating heart, inspect a great white shark, rotate the solar system, trigger a volcanic eruption, dissect a frog, and walk through the water cycle. The Merge Explorer app pairs digital objects with hands-on discovery, so complex lessons in biology, physics, chemistry, and astronomy become visual and tactile instead of memorized.

Store-ready features:

100+ interactive 3D/AR science simulations inside Merge Explorer

Merge Cube support to hold and manipulate digital models

Multiple interaction modes — 3D viewer, hand tracking, head look, cube mode

NGSS-aligned K-8 content across physical, life, and earth/space science

Built-in activities and quizzes for classroom or at-home learning

Labels and points of interest to explain each simulation

Multisensory learning through visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile input

Library and collections to save and reuse favorite topics

Share by link or QR code for teachers and students

Cross-platform: Android, iOS, Chromebook, and Windows

How to Use Merge Explorer:

The Merge Explorer app runs on a discovery loop: open → find a topic → enter simulation → interact → quiz → share or save.

Quick guide:

Install Merge Explorer from Google Play or the App Store.

Open the Merge Explorer app and browse 100+ topic cards.

Search by keyword or scroll through science categories.

Tap a simulation — volcano, solar system, frog, heart, water cycle.

Explore the 3D model: rotate, zoom, and tap points of interest.

Toggle labels to learn structures and definitions.

Switch interaction modes — 3D viewer, hand, head, or Merge Cube.

Complete built-in activities and quizzes to check understanding.

Save simulations to your library or a custom collection.

Share content with students or classmates through link or QR code.

Tips:

Use Merge Cube mode for the most immersive lessons — Merge Explorer is designed around holding the model.

Teachers should pre-save topic cards into collections before class to avoid searching during lessons.

Keep device storage free; the Merge Explorer app is large because of high-quality 3D assets.

That sounds awesome! Your teacher brought an iPad to show you about flowers. That must have made learning really fun. The app sounds interesting too. It’s great when technology helps us explore and learn new things. What flower did she teach you about?

Every time I hit play on an activity, it just spins and then the app shuts down. Super frustrating. This foam cube feels like a total waste of money since the software doesn’t work at all. I guess we’ll end up using the cube for playing catch with our dog. That’s all it seems good for right now.

The Merge Explorer App is terrible. I canceled it during the trial, but they refuse to refund my money. I canceled right away and still got nothing back. Don’t waste your time or cash on this app. You’ll just end up losing your money.

Learning feels exciting and full of possibilities. Every moment brings something fresh and interesting. The joy of discovering new topics creates a spark. Each piece of knowledge opens up a whole new world. It’s fulfilling and rewarding, a true adventure for the mind. 10/10!

It’s frustrating when you can’t sign in. You try using Google or Microsoft, but then a 404 error pops up with the dashboard. That hurts, especially when you just want to get things done. It feels like everything is going wrong. Take a deep breath and maybe try refreshing the page or checking your internet connection. Sometimes, logging out and then trying again helps too.

The app works well and the subscription problem is resolved. However, I cannot stamp the Object on my Android device.

I planned to give this app 4 stars. Now it gets a -1. My grammar checker really struggles with this app and keeps changing I'd to if. The rating drops from 5 to 0 because the app isn’t downloadable. I can’t even see the size! Plus, I took away another star since you removed the app that had all the fun features.

That sounds frustrating. You expected access to more content for what you paid, but it ended up being limited. It's disappointing when you invest in something and it doesn’t meet your expectations. You probably feel let down by the experience.
