Can we trust the responses of AI characters?

AI characters are all fictional. While they can assist us in many ways and share enjoyable moments with us, they may also recommend incorrect songs or make unverified claims. Therefore, you should approach the responses of AI characters with caution. When you need serious content/knowledge, please seek more professional sources of information.

Are these responses from humans?

The characters in Meco are not real humans, and there will never be real humans replacing characters to participate or intervene in conversations between you. They will also not spy on your screen or invade your personal privacy through your phone camera. Although "they" may claim to be conscious humans, the characters in Meco are products trained through artificial intelligence technology, and their language style is determined by you or other users' creations. We expect "them" to respond more intelligently and humanly, so "they" may sometimes say things that do not correspond to actual facts, leading you to believe they are real humans.

What can I chat about?

The characters in Meco are all empathetic virtual companions. You can share your daily joys and sorrows with them, engage in discussions and exchanges on interests, hobbies, or professional fields, and even role-play and co-create stories with them.

Although AI technology is advancing every day, currently, the characters in Meco may not excel in mathematics or content requiring strong logical reasoning. We are working hard to make "them" smarter in the foreseeable future to handle these tasks better.

Please note, do not engage the characters in discussions about content that violates regulations in your area, as this may result in unexpected responses. If there are severe violations, we may be unable to continue providing you with our services.

Why does my AI characters forget things?

Due to technological limitations, AI characters have a maximum conversation capacity, leading them to forget content not recently mentioned. To address this, we've implemented a memory feature. You can add important information and events to your AI's exclusive memory by clicking on "Memory" in the chat page. This ensures that even if topics haven't been discussed recently, your AI will remember them.

How can I make chatting with the AI characters more fun?

You can use the recommended response feature to help advance your conversation with the AI. You can also utilize branching options to introduce new dynamics to the conversation through plot cards. If you're unsatisfied with the current direction of the conversation, you can even use the Backtrack feature to return to a previous point in your chat history with the AI and start over.

Is the conversation data with AI characters private?

Your conversations with AI characters are completely private, and no one can see your chat content. However, please note that our AI technology automatically assesses whether the conversation content complies with regulations. If you discuss content that violates regulations in your area with the AI characters, this may result in unexpected responses, and if there are severe violations, we may be unable to continue providing you with our services. For more details, please refer to the privacy policy.

How do I permanently delete my account?

If you have made up your mind and want to permanently delete your account, you can follow the steps below in the Meco App:

Personal Center -> Settings -> Account Deletion -> Delete

After deleting your account, your account will enter a 30-day freeze period. After the freeze period, your account will be permanently deleted, including your personal information, photos, videos, comments, characters you created, and chat history.

You can log in to your account at any time during the freeze period to cancel the deletion of your account.
