Lignes d’Azur Tickets lets you purchase and reload tickets & subscriptions for buses and trams in the Nice Côte d’Azur metropolitan area (France). 

Load fares either onto a physical Lignes d’Azur card (“Ma Carte” or “La Carte”) via NFC or directly onto your phone if it supports NFC. 

The app allows you to check remaining trips, subscription expiry dates, view and renew passes, and see your ticket content. 

Payment is by credit card; tickets/subscriptions are bought securely within the app. 

Supports multiple ticket types: single rides, multi-trip, 1-day / 7-day / 30-day passes, airport round-trip.

PRACTICAL TRANSPORTATION

Utilizing public transit in the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolis is now simpler than ever.

To buy and load a ticket onto your Lignes d'Azur card, follow these steps:

• Launch the application and select "Buy a ticket on a Lignes d'Azur card."

• Follow the prompts by placing your card near the back top of your phone for scanning.

• After verifying its contents, choose the title you'd like to load.

• Make your payment safely with a credit card.

• Present your card again at the top of your phone to reload the purchased pass.

• Once you complete your purchase and reload your card, it will be ready for use on the Lignes d'Azur network.

Here's how to buy and load a title on your smartphone:

• Open the app and tap on “Buy a title on the phone.”

• Choose the ticket or subscription you wish to purchase.

• Securely pay using your credit card.

• After your transaction is finalized, you can use your phone to travel on the Lignes d'Azur network. Validate your ticket by holding the back of your phone, screen facing up and NFC activated, against the validation terminal without needing to open the app. A beep sound and the green light activation on the terminal will confirm that your pass has been validated.

• During your journey, you'll see the ongoing validity period for your tickets and subscriptions. If checked, present the relevant screen to the staff for verification of your ticket's validity.

A STORAGE OPTION FOR YOUR TRANSPORT TICKETS

Your transport tickets are now saved within the “Carte Lignes d’Azur Mobile” extension. This means you won’t lose tickets even if you uninstall the Lignes d'Azur Tickets application. When you make your first purchase on your phone, you’ll receive guidance on installing this extension.

1.Can the 1-day and 7-day Passes be used by several people?

No, the 1-day and 7-day Passes are individual tickets which can only be validated by one person. However, the Multi 10 Journeys and Multi+ 20 Journeys can be used by several passengers. Just validate the ticket as many times as there are passengers in the first bus, and once more if you change buses

2.Do you really need a separate holiday timetable?

A reduced service during the school holidays (as on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) corresponds to the reduced demand we experience. We are always looking at ways to improve the timetables for these periods in each sector.

3.Which tickets are available with "Ma Carte"?

4.I have several tickets on my card.Which ticket is counted first when I validate?

When you have several tickets on your card (e.g. a monthly pass and a Multi-Voyages), the pass has priority over all other tickets. So you can't travel with several people at the same time if you have a subscription on your card.

5.I've lost "Ma Carte".What should Ido?

--Visit one of our Lignes d'Azur/ Mobiles agencies, where we will draw up a loss or theft declaration together. This will enable us to suspend the lost card.

--A duplicate card can be issued immediately on presentation of proof of identity, a recent passport photo and a €10 replacement fee.

--You can also request a duplicate on the website, under Online office > Report a lost card

    The NFC Nice Ticket won't work on rooted smartphones. This restriction surprises many. Bank applications often function fine on rooted devices, but transit systems use strong security measures. They need to protect sensitive information and prevent fraud. Root access can modify the system, making it less secure. Therefore, many services disable their features on rooted devices for safety reasons. It seems frustrating, yet it is about keeping transactions safe.

    What a frustrating experience! The app wouldn’t work at all. Trying to top up your bus card became impossible. That left you in a tough spot, stranded without options. The bus driver didn’t offer any support either. So disappointing when you rely on technology and then it fails you!

    Watch out! Every update might cost you your tickets. The NFC feature doesn’t work on the latest version either. It’s a good idea to pause those updates and focus on fixing the app. Feels like amateur development right now.

    The app is a complete mess. Signing in feels impossible. I enter my details and hit login, but it just sends me back to the main page. I try again, and the same thing happens. No error messages or prompts. I know I'm using the correct information because it alerts me if I use an incorrect password. Frustration levels are high.

    Once you finish registering and setting everything up, some confusion can hit. You have to download an extra app extension. When it comes to validating tickets, the app doesn't send notifications. This makes it easy to accidentally validate twice and waste your tickets. You only get a quick green dot on the card reader to confirm. Saving your credit card details? That often feels hit or miss, as sometimes they save and other times they don’t.
