About Jovem Nerd

It all started as a simple blog to talk about the release of Star Wars Episode II – Attack of the Clones, back in 2002. Over time, the site became a major entertainment portal, home to podcasts, videocasts, and a news hub, NerdBunker.

During this period, NerdCast became one of the largest podcasts in Brazil, marked by editions such as the Valentine's Day Special and the RPG NerdCasts, which gave rise to several universes, including Ghanor and Cyberpunk.

All of this expanded over the years, generating original content, such as Ghanor's books, and iconic characters, such as Ozob (peck me on the nose, you idiot!).

With a fan base established with NerdPower, it was time for Jovem Nerd to enter a new chapter and, in April 2021, the purchase of the company by Magazine Luiza was announced.

In practice, creative freedom remains the same, now with the entire Magalu structure. This has enabled the creation of new projects, such as the podcast Lá do Bunker, produced by the NerdBunker editorial team, Caneca de Mamicas, hosted by Agatha Ottoni and Andreia Pazos, aka Portuguesa, and DesenKaixa, an unboxing program with names such as Pri Ganiko and Sr. K.

Expanding the content creation to other topics even further, Jovem Nerd had Vai Te Catar, a podcast that covered the 2022 World Cup, with Mau Faccio and Vidane in charge. With the success of the initiative, the duo continues on new projects for the house, such as Mau Acompanhado: Vou Te Contar, about Big Brother Brasil.

In the future, Jovem Nerd will continue expanding projects and characters, including RPG NerdCasts, games in the Ghanor universe and much more!

He is part of the generation that was nurtured by comics, fantasy and RPG. His fanaticism for Star Wars can only be compared to his love for his wife Agatha, who has put up with him since high school, and for his daughter Gisele, also known affectionately as Piccola.

JN was once an adventure master and today he brings characters to life in RPG NerdCasts, with unforgettable companions (Billy, we love you!). A calming voice in moments of tension, JN had the joy of seeing nerds transform into the cool kids at school, without being afraid to wear character t-shirts and talk for hours about fantasy worlds.

Mr. K defined him as follows: “And presenting the social pachyderm in the crystal shop of common sense and satisfactory social interaction!!!! See how the beast runs furiously through the shop, destroying all the conventions and protocols carefully carved in the most precious stones…”.

A lover of berets and sunglasses, Azaghal is also the creative mind behind several projects and is constantly striving to ensure that Jovem Nerd does not copy his style.
