Japan Airlines - Travel booking & planning

So, I was trying to choose the airline NU on my Android device, but the options were limited to JAL, JTA, and RAC only. On the iPhone, my friend was able to manually add a different airline. The app can be quite moody and not very user-friendly.

I couldn't book my flight. The website was down for a few days. On the day of my flight, I couldn't choose that day anymore, only tomorrow or later.

I really didn't like the app, it was a nightmare. I couldn't find my reservations even though I had already paid for them. The app felt like it was made to make things difficult for users. But I must say, the actual air service was excellent. They provided top-notch Japanese customer service in every aspect. Whoever created this app probably lacked understanding about how apps should work, maybe they focused too much on technical aspects. The app is just terrible! Maybe they're also responsible for the phone lines because it's impossible to speak to a real person there.

It feels pretty frustrating when you have to type in passenger flight details all over again just to make changes to a reservation. It really shows how inefficient the app is. On top of that, not being able to finish purchases with American Express just adds to the hassle.

This app doesn't work. I tried to check my booking but it kept showing errors even though I entered all the correct details. It said the flight was cancelled or there was an input error. However, I could see my booking on the JAL website. I expected better from a 5-star airline, but it seems they can't make a good app.

Guess what, I'm having trouble logging in because the keyboard shows up on the login page but no matter how hard I try, I just can't press any keys. Can you believe it? I even went ahead and restarted my phone. And get this, I tried getting another keyboard installed too, but guess what, same problem. And to top it off, I'm using Android 12 on my Pixel 6. How frustrating is that, not being able to use the app to fly? Ugh, what a letdown.

Wow, the new aircraft had an amazing cabin crew that provided excellent service. The flight experience was one of the best in the world.

Oh no, this app is a mess. Unlike other airline apps, you can't just input your flight confirmation to find your details. Instead, you have to go through a pointless search process. I booked a JAL flight via my credit card travel agency and have the confirmation code, but I can't input it into the app. It's frustrating that in 2023, they haven't fixed this issue. The developers should take notes from Alaska Airlines or any American carrier on how to do it right.

For those who are not JAL members, it might be confusing. If you put a space after a name, the search won't work correctly. It's also tricky to figure out where to input your passport details.

Wow! I love this airline so much. The people who work here are really good at their jobs and always so friendly. I have such a great time every time I fly with them.
