The Idanim Story
Idanim was created at TO THE NEW, a digital technology company that has been named a Great Place to Work nine times. During the tough times of the COVID-19 pandemic, we started looking for a mindfulness platform that could help our team—whom we call Newers—deal with stress and take care of their mental well-being.
At the time, we found that existing meditation and mindfulness apps, mostly founded in the US or Europe, didn’t really do justice to Indian corporate audiences and were limited to the teachings and practices of one particular teacher or tradition. This is when we decided to create our own platform—one that is more inclusive, wholesome, and India-centric. We wanted to leverage our expertise in technology and our own practice of mindfulness to provide a platform that helps people live a life with purpose, presence, and peace. Idanim officially came to life in July 2022. What started as a simple internal initiative quickly evolved into a deeper journey.
We initially focused on corporate professionals in the first year of operations. Idanim’s growth trajectory changed when we launched Hindi meditations in September 2023.
Since then, Idanim has grown to over 1 million downloads, becoming more than just an app.
