How can we help?

What is zero-knowledge, client side encryption?

In cryptography, zero-knowledge refers to the organizations and people within those organizations operating the encryption service having no access to your encryption keys and data.

Client-side means that all of your data gets encrypted on your device before it gets uploaded to the Icedrive servers.

This means that you, and only you, are the only individual that can view and decrypt your data - And that's the way it should be.

Does Icedrive support WebDAV?

The WebDAV (Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning) protocol is supported at Icedrive.

It is currently available for use on all paid plans.

Connect to the following TLS encrypted server with your preferred client (a third party client app, not a web browser):

Use your Icedrive account email as login and an Access key as password.

You can generate an access key in web dashboard: click on avatar, select "2FA & Access" option and follow the prompts.

How the bandwidth statistics are calculated

We have tried to make the bandwidth usage calculator as fair and as simple as possible.

What is bandwidth?

Bandwidth is the amount of data used by our servers to send or receive a file from you.

Personal bandwidth usage

Each plan gets a set amount of bandwidth.

For every file you upload or download, bandwidth is used to transfer the file. The bandwidth usage is then added to your account.

If you only part download a file, you will only be credited with the bandwidth usage for the transfer, not the whole file.

You will also not be deducted any bandwidth for a failed upload.

Shared File Bandwidth Usage

When you share files the bandwidth is deducted from the user which downloads the file.

However, if they do not have an account the bandwidth will be deducted from your personal allocation. This helps maintain the fairest balance possible.

What is the maximum file size I can store?

We do not set any limits on file size.

Our servers use the latest XFS filesystem, which supports filesizes of up to 100TB - Far larger than any plan we have on offer (For now!). So get busy uploading!
