GMX Address Book – What's Inside!

Did you know that the address book in your GMX inbox can do much more than just store contact information? That you can, for example, view all emails from a contact or send emails to entire groups at once? We'll show you the practical features included in the GMX Address Book:

Sending Emails to Groups

Don't want to constantly search for all your contacts individually to send an email to multiple people? Then create a group and assign the desired contacts to it! For example, you can add all the people you regularly exercise with to a group called "Sports" and send everyone an email together. To do this, simply select the relevant group under "Groups" and click the envelope icon at the top.

View all emails from a contact

This feature is particularly popular with our users: If you open a contact – let's assume the fictitious name "Hans Haferbrei" – the option "View all emails from Haferbrei, Hans" appears at the bottom of the address book entry. Just click on the link, and you'll get a direct overview of all email exchanges with Mr. Hans Haferbrei!

Use address book suggestions

Small but very helpful: the "Auto-Suggest" feature! As soon as you start entering a contact in the recipient line of an email, you'll automatically see corresponding address suggestions from your GMX address book. This saves you from having to search for the correct recipient email address every time.

Import contacts

Would you like to integrate contacts from another program into your GMX mailbox? No problem: Export your contacts from the other application, save them locally on your device, and then simply import the file into your GMX address book. Done – you now have all your contacts at your fingertips!

Of course, you can also export the contacts from your GMX address book. This saves a file on your device that you can use in another program, such as Outlook.

Save Birthdays

If you enter a contact's birthday, it will automatically be displayed in a separate list (under "Birthdays") in your address book. It will also be saved as an entry in your calendar (also under "Birthdays"). The advantage for you: You'll never miss a birthday again! If necessary, you can conveniently be reminded of the respective birthday via email or text message.

Edit your own business card

If you check the "Business card" box in your GMX mailbox's email settings, your personal business card with information such as your address and phone number will be added to every new email. The recipient of your email will then have the option to save the attached business card, along with all the details, in their own address book.

The corresponding entry, i.e., the entry about you, is automatically included in your address book after you create your GMX account. Of course, you can edit it online at any time, just like any other entry.
