How to use
Your FRITZ! Smart Home offers even more functionality. New Smart Home devices can be registered with your FRITZ!Box with a straightforward button press. It is easy to set up heating schedules, automated switching, templates, and groups through your FRITZ!Box's user interface. Devices like the FRITZ!DECT 400 can regulate your living room floor lamp or outside lights via the FRITZ!DECT 200 and FRITZ!DECT 210. Our latest addition is the FRITZ!DECT 440 switch featuring four buttons and a display. This switch can dim your FRITZ!DECT 500 LED light and measure the temperature of the FRITZ!DECT 301.
Suggestion: Enhance your FRITZ! Smart Home experience with the forthcoming FRITZ!OS update for the FRITZ!Box. This software brings an entirely revamped Smart Home operation within the FRITZ!Box interface, introduces new functionalities for the FRITZ!DECT 440 switch, and showcases a variety of colors supporting the new FRITZ!DECT 500 LED light.
Certain Internet service providers, particularly some cable companies, may offer connections that restrict or completely prevent remote access to your home connection due to a lack of a public IPv4 address. The FRITZ!App Smart Home usually identifies these types of connections automatically and provides an appropriate notification. These connection types may be referred to as "DS-Lite," "Dual-Stack-Lite," or "Carrier Grade NAT" (CGN). If necessary, consult your provider for options regarding obtaining a public IPv4 address.
Requirements
A FRITZ!Box operating with FRITZ!OS version 7.10 or newer is required.
If your FRITZ!Box’s internet connection lacks a public IPv4 address, there may be limitations when using mobile or Wi-Fi networks remotely.
Common inquiries:
Inquiry: How do I connect to another FRITZ!Box?
The FRITZ!App Smart Home is designed to operate with just one FRITZ!Box. To switch to a different FRITZ!Box, select “New Login” in the settings menu. You will need to be connected to the Wi-Fi network of your current FRITZ!Box to log in.
Inquiry: Why can I not access my FRITZ!Box while away from home?
Ensure that the “Use on the move” option is activated in the settings menu, which requires connectivity to your FRITZ!Box’s Wi-Fi to modify.
