Title: A Game-Changing Productivity Multiplier That Just Works

From the moment I connected Duet to my MacBook, I was stunned by how effortlessly it transformed my aging Android tablet into a flawless secondary display. As a remote worker juggling multiple windows, Duet didn’t just extend my screen—it revolutionized my workflow. The setup was astonishingly simple: no tangled cables, no Wi-Fi latency, just instant plug-and-play brilliance. What truly sets Duet apart is its buttery-smooth performance; scrolling through design prototypes or editing spreadsheets feels native, with zero lag—a claim few competitors can honestly make. The touch integration is revolutionary—pinch-zooming Figma mockups or two-finger-scrolling through code feels like magic, and the Mac Touch Bar emulation on my Android device is pure genius for shortcuts.

Having tested countless display-extending tools, Duet’s polish stands out. Crafted by ex-Apple engineers, it delivers true Retina-level clarity that makes text razor-sharp, even on high-DPI screens. Whether I’m traveling light with just my laptop and tablet or optimizing my home office, Duet turns any space into a productivity powerhouse. It’s not just an app—it’s an indispensable extension of my creative toolkit that pays for itself in reclaimed focus time.

FAQ

Q: Is Duet a subscription service?

A: While the announcement mentions a "new plan," Duet traditionally operates via a one-time purchase. The message likely refers to legacy users transitioning to updated licensing—contact support with your order number for details.

Q: Does it work wirelessly?

A: For zero-lag performance, Duet uses a wired USB connection. Wireless modes may introduce latency, compromising the premium experience.

Q: Why does Duet require Accessibility permissions?

A: This allows screen projection as a foreground service. Rest assured—it doesn’t access personal data or keystrokes.

Q: Can I use touch gestures on Windows?

A: Absolutely! Pan, zoom, and scroll seamlessly on both Windows and Mac. Touch Bar emulation is exclusive to Mac + Android setups.

Q: Will it drain my device battery?

A: Since it’s powered via USB during use, battery impact is minimal. For extended sessions, keep your device charged.

It's been such a frustrating experience to keep using this app. When it decides to work, everything runs smoothly, except for slight lag when drawing in Photoshop. But getting it to connect? That's another story. I only managed to get it to work once. Most of the time, it claims my subscription was canceled, even though money keeps disappearing from my account every month. I'm done trying to make this app work. It's just not worth the hassle anymore.

Duet support came through quickly. They solved the problem and now I can connect via cable again. I remember connecting my MacBook Air with my iPad. That was such a great experience. Then I switched to Windows 10 and tried connecting to my Android tablet wirelessly. It dropped constantly, making it pretty much useless. When I hooked up another tablet with a cable, that worked fine. But my current tablet lacks USB tethering, so no cable option for that one. Really hoping for a fast fix!

The app only functions on WiFi. No USB option is available. This really limits its usefulness for many situations. I would love to use it while out and about, but it won't connect in coffee shops or even on my workplace's network. At home, I have multiple monitors that serve me better. If there was a USB option, this would easily be a five-star app. The marketing suggests there's a wired solution, which feels misleading.

It worked perfectly right from the start. I connected it wirelessly to my Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and Lenovo Windows 10 laptop. The tablet doesn’t have a cable option, but that didn't matter since the Wi-Fi mode was great. I opened spreadsheets and documents on both screens without any issues. There was a slight lag with the touchscreen on the tablet, but the S Pen responded instantly. Overall, I'm really happy with Duet so far.

The app was frustratingly laggy. I reached out for support once before, and they claimed there was nothing more they could do, even while I was connected through USB. Recently, they switched to a subscription model. Despite having paid for the app, support informed me that I couldn't use it anymore unless I subscribed. This situation feels extremely disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this app to anyone.

I can’t contain my excitement! I’m thrilled to give this app and its team a glowing 5-star review. They recently sent me a new desktop app that fixed the wired connection issue. This is exactly what I hoped for. Tremendous job, team! Let me share my previous experience. I initially gave it 3 stars because it didn’t quite meet my expectations. I was using a Samsung TAB S7+, and the wired connection wasn’t working at all. The wireless connection was decent. It worked well enough for reviewing documents on the screen while I focused on my main display, but it lacked the capability for a standard second display. The support team deserves a special mention. If I could rate them separately, they’d definitely receive 5 stars for their kindness and responsiveness. Building something like this is no easy feat, especially with the multitude of Android devices out there. I truly appreciate their hard work and have high hopes for the future of this app!

I downloaded an app for my Google Slate to connect with my Windows Surface laptop. It connects through Air only, no cable option. The resolution appears very pixelated at first and lags when connected, regardless of the resolution settings. After a wait of about 30 seconds, it clears up, which is disappointing for a paid app. I didn’t have these problems using an iPad with the Windows laptop when connected by cable. I tried a free app called spacedesk, and it had fewer bugs and less lag time.

I got this app to turn my Samsung Tab S4 into an extra screen and to hand draw with my MacBook Pro running Catalina. At first, using it wirelessly over Wi-Fi had some lag, which was frustrating. A few hours after I bought the app, I received an email asking about my experience. I shared my thoughts about the lag. The support team responded quickly with clear instructions on how to switch to a wired mode by using a different version of the app. Once I made the change, the lag disappeared. Now I'm happy and got exactly what I wanted!

It works pretty well, but it has some stability issues. I keep losing access to my mouse and keyboard on the extended screen. That’s important when using Air mode because of the mouse latency. I’d give it four stars. But for me, it’s not enough. I'm uninstalling it and losing the $13. I thought it would work with my Chromebook. I didn’t know it wouldn’t function with a USB connection. Since I need to connect my main machine to a VPN, that makes Air mode unusable. So really, it doesn’t work on the Chromebook.
