FAQ:

Q1. Why is the data wrong?

A1. Our data comes directly from the Chicago Transit Authority. Unfortunately, if their data source is wrong, there is not much we can do to fix it at the moment.

Q2. Can I track multiple buses?

A2. Yes. Simply tap Menu then Create route. Or, add any route to My Routes from Closest Routes by simply tapping on that route. You can track as many routes as you wish in My Routes.

Q3. Can I force it to refresh?

A3. Yes. Tap Menu and choose Refresh.

Q4. Can I see where the buses are on their route?

A4. Yes. Pro users bring up a map by tapping on a route.

Q5. Can I edit a route after creating it?

A5. Yes. Tap on a route and choose Edit.

Q6. Can I be notified with an alarm X minutes before the next bus arrives?

A6. Yes, with the Pro version. Tap on a route and choose Set Alarm.

Q7. Can I change the sort order of the list, or reorganize the list by 'trips'?

A7. Yes. Go to Menu and choose Reorder and Groups.

Q8. I have multiple possible buses I can take from a given stop, and I would like to sort by stop instead of by route. Can I do that?

A8. Yes, by setting up groups. Go to Menu and choose Reorder and Groups.

Q9. Can you add El trains?

A9. El trains display timetable information in the Pro version. Predictions for El trains are coming as soon as the CTA makes that information available.

Q10. Can you create a version for my city?

A10. Possibly. If that city has a similar tracking website available to the City of Chicago Bus Tracker, then possibly. However, Chicago is where I live and it's my priority at the moment. If your city doesn't track its buses/trains, I unfortunately cannot help you.

Why choose Pro over Lite?

- The Pro version is free of advertisements.

Notice--Both Lite and Pro versions come with identical features! Upgrade to Pro for an ad-free experience.

The app misses several updated routes and stops from the past year. One notable example is the 115 Pullman stop, which isn’t reflected in the app anymore.

This app crashes and stalls all the time. It happens a lot when I connect to WiFi. I have to switch to my data just to get it to work on my Android. It's so frustrating!

It would be great to get a route instantly without needing to save it first. Just pull it up and go. No extra steps involved. Quick navigation is always a plus.

The bus pulls in ahead of schedule, always a few minutes early. Riders catch a glimpse of it rolling up, and there's a little rush to gather their things. Some board quickly, eager not to miss the chance. Others glance at their watches, surprised yet relieved. The bus driver gives a friendly nod, ready to set off even before the clock ticks to the hour. There's something comforting in that promptness, a little rhythm in the everyday routine.

It works well most of the time. Occasionally, it lags a bit, but overall, it performs decently. Optimus V is reliable.

This app is amazing! It tells you exactly when the bus or train arrives. No more waiting around all night or day. You can plan your time better and never miss your ride. Totally convenient!

It's frustrating when the app claims it's 20 minutes until the next bus, but then two others show up first. Waiting around with nothing happening adds to the annoyance. Out of every five times I check, maybe one is actually accurate. Coming from Chicago, I expect better from my transit service. The free version has its issues. Can't imagine how the paid service stacks up. Overall, not impressed, CTA.

The bus was supposed to arrive in 7 minutes. I waited and waited. Suddenly, it showed up in just 40-50 seconds. I scrambled to get on but ended up late for school. Such a rush!

Every day, I dive into this app. It brings me so much joy! Once you get the hang of it, nothing else compares.
