IMPORTANT NOTICE:
This app is not affiliated with any governmental entity.
This app allows obtaining the digital certificate on Android devices, through the public website of the certification authority (SOURCE).
This application enables the obtaining of the digital certificate for individuals provided by the public certification authority FNMT (National Currency and Stamp Factory) on mobile devices, through its electronic headquarters (see Source).
It supports all possible methods of obtaining the digital certificate for individuals from FNMT (National Currency and Stamp Factory):
- DIRECT METHOD: through NFC reading of DNI 3.0 and DNI 4.0 (issued from 2015 onwards). Requires DNI with active certificates and its password.
- VIDEO IDENTIFICATION METHOD: for any valid DNI.
- STANDARD METHOD: by identity verification in accreditation offices established by the certification authority FNMT (National Currency and Stamp Factory). For any valid DNI or NIE.
The digital certificate provided by the Certification Authority FNMT is valid on all official electronic headquarters in the national territory.
The FNMT digital certificate also allows access to routine procedures in the official electronic headquarters of the following public administrations, such as:
- Tax Agency - AEAT
- General Treasury of Social Security - TGSS
- State Public Employment Service - SEPE
- Ministry of Justice
- Directorate General of Traffic - DGT
- Cl@ve PIN and Permanent Cl@ve
- Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism
REQUIREMENTS:
A- Direct method:
-- DNI 3.0 or 4.0 (issued from 2015 onwards) with password and active integrated certificates.
-- Android device with NFC sensor.
B- Video identification method:
-- Valid DNI.
C- Standard method:
-- Valid DNI or NIE.
Make a new application without having downloaded the digital certificate
The process of obtaining a digital certificate begins with the application code. Upon requesting the code, the browser generates a pair of interrelated keys, namely the private key and the public key. The private key is saved in the browser or device used for the request and the public key associated with the request code is sent to the certificate authority (CA), in this case FNMT-RCM.
Public Key and Private Key
Today's technology mainly uses so-called asymmetric cryptography in the signing and encryption process. This means that each user who wants to sign and/or encrypt is assigned two keys, one is public and the other is private. It is convenient to know that the key that appears on the electronic certificate is only the public key. The private key will not appear on the certificate. Although this private key can be generated by the same certificate authority that issued the certificate, it only corresponds to the public key that appears on the certificate. The certificate authority cannot store the private key at any time. Therefore, each certificate has a private key associated with it, but this is not included in the certificate.
What happens if I make a new request for a digital certificate without having previously downloaded it?
If you make a new request, a new security component will be generated, a second private key. This second component replaces the first, which will make it not compatible with downloading the first digital certificate. That is, they are not going to correspond. This causes what we call the mixing of keys or components producing an invalid certificate.
Problems that can arise with the direct method
Through the CERT Digital app you can obtain the digital certificate in two ways: standard method and direct method. In this post, we explain two problems that can arise with the direct method.
What is the direct method for obtaining the digital certificate?
The CERT Digital application for Android offers the user the option of downloading the digital certificate by NFC reading the DNI 3.0 and DNI 4.0. This digital certificate, provided by the official FNMT Certification Authority, is valid at all official electronic offices in the national territory.
Here are the issues that can arise with the direct method:
1. Remember that once the reading has started, you must leave the ID card stationary and as close as possible to the sensor so that there are no "micro-cuts" during the NFC reading.
2. You have to repeat step 1, as many times as necessary until you make the digital signature correctly and receive the FNMT email with your generation code. Once you have received the email, DO NOT perform a new step 1.
3. If you have any problems with the download, please retry the download but do not make a second request. You would lose the private key. Contact us at: asistencia@intereidas.com
