Does CARROT have any Home or Lock Screen widgets?

Yes! The Snark widget shows a snarky comment from CARROT along with a short-term forecast. The Forecast widget shows a more extended forecast. The Hourly and Daily widgets focus on the hourly and daily forecasts, respectively. And the Weather Maps widget displays an assortment of map layers.

Note that a Premium Ultra subscription is required for the Weather Maps widget; a Premium subscription is required for all other widgets.   

Can you change - or turn off - CARROT's personality?

You can choose one of five personalities for CARROT: professional, friendly, snarky, homicidal, or overkill.

When set to professional, CARROT is just a traditional weather app: no jokes, no fun stuff, just the weather.

Overkill, on the other hand... Well, there's a reason CARROT's Maker had to add a separate profanity filter for this personality.

Does CARROT work worldwide?

Yes! CARROT's weather data sources offer coverage from the North Pole to the South Pole and everywhere in between. 

Some features may be geo-restricted, however. Certain notifications and map layers, for example, are only available in certain countries. See below for more details.

How customizable is CARROT's interface?

CARROT is, quite simply, the most customizable weather app in the world.

Visit the Layout screen to build the weather app of your dreams. Add new components, rearrange them, change their design, insert additional data points, and more. The system is incredibly flexible, allowing you to create entirely different designs to suit your exact needs.

And if you don't feel like building your own layout from the ground up, there are many prebuilt layouts available in the Layout Gallery.

What weather data sources does CARROT use?

By default, CARROT's forecasts are powered by Foreca, one of the world’s most accurate weather services. 

Premium Club members can also use Apple Weather, AccuWeather, Tomorrow.io, OpenWeather, or Xweather as alternate data sources. Region-specific sources are available as well: Environment Canada in Canada, Deutscher Wetterdienst in Germany, MeteoFrance in France, MET Norway in Norway, and WillyWeather in Australia.

Subscribers can also hook into data pulled from personal weather stations right in their backyard. WeatherFlow/Tempest and Netatmo stations are directly supported, while any station that connects to PWSweather can be displayed in CARROT as well.
