Carnival HUB - Cruise ship planner

Oh man, everything was going smoothly until the internet kicked me off the wifi. My elderly parents, who are 81 and 91 years old, found it tough. They often had to ask for physical menus in the dining room and needed my help with casino stuff. But overall, I think it's smart to have everything in the app—it's a good move for the 21st century. The only hiccup was when I didn't feel like lugging my phone around, but that didn't happen often since it's also my watch and camera.

The app was handy but not as easy to use as I thought. Before getting on the cruise, it was a bit tricky to find simple information about the trip, and most of the links redirected you outside of the app. While on the cruise, it became more useful - though the wifi wasn't always reliable. Generally, it was helpful but could be better with some enhancements.

Oh, the difference this vacation app has made! It's amazing to have all the important stuff right there, so convenient. From reminders and menus to a complete schedule and account details. It's like having everything at your beck and call, keeping your trip all in order. It really helps me feel more at ease and relaxed during my getaway.

Getting used to the app took some time, but once I did, it was really helpful. I enjoyed being able to see the menus beforehand, which was perfect for me because of my dietary restrictions. Using the little reminders to plan activities was a great feature!

The information given was really helpful and useful, however, it wasn't always quick. I get that there might be some delays, but a lot of times I lost connection to the hub inside my cabin. And forget about getting any signal in the bathroom! Haha! Some tasks were easier to do in person rather than through the hub app, like booking excursions. It would also be better if transactions updated faster on our onboard accounts.

The app was great for making reservations and staying on top of our planned activities. However, we had a major problem with the chat feature. We paid $5 each for it, but it rarely worked. It was tough to coordinate with our entire group when we couldn't communicate properly. This issue needs to be addressed, especially since we were charged for a service that didn't function as promised. Despite this setback, our overall experience was good. We look forward to booking with Carnival again!

The Carnival HUB app was awesome back then, and now it's even better. They've included your casino points and balance on the app. I really like that I can look at my photos and manage my account and expenses. The "what's happening" section keeps me informed and reminds me when events are about to start. I also appreciate the map feature that shows where different events are held. When I sailed on the Jubilee recently, being on the new flagship was a whole new experience for me.

This tool is so convenient! It consistently worked well and was updated right away. Looking ahead, I hope the daily planner can add in shore excursions from the Carnival app. I once missed a tour worth hundreds of dollars - my own mistake. I used the app every day, and perhaps if the excursion had been listed there, I wouldn't have missed it.

Setting up the app was slow and it took a while for some of us to do. Sometimes, text messages didn't arrive or came in late, which wasn't great if we needed a quick response. We did like the concept and the pricing. It would be nice if the app was free for all guests to use.
