Animal welfare

The REWE Group, which also includes BILLA s.r.o., has committed to ending the sale of cage eggs by 2025 and replacing them with litter-reared, free-range and organic eggs.

We are responding to the needs of our customers, who are increasingly interested in litter-reared eggs year after year. At the same time, we consider it necessary to improve animal welfare.

BILLA s.r.o. sells 100% of its eggs from Slovakia on its store shelves. Our goal is to offer as many products from Slovak suppliers and of Slovak origin as possible, as long as Slovak production can cover this.
