Our History

Our legacy can be traced back to the years 1845 and 1923 with the respective first runs of The Straits Times, an English daily, and Lianhe Zaobao, a Chinese newspaper.

In 1984, Singapore Press Holdings Ltd (SPH Limited) brought together newspaper brands from two companies, namely – The Straits Times Press Group (STP) and Singapore News and Publications Limited (SNPL), as well as two other companies that dealt with publishing, production and distribution, Times Publishing Bhd (TP) and Singapore Newspaper Services Pte Ltd (SNS).

Over time, SPH Limited expanded its media assets to include magazines, publications, radio stations, out-of-home screens, and billboards. As the media ecosystem evolved, SPH Limited began offering a myriad of digital platforms and innovative products.

Following a restructuring of the media business, SPH Media took over SPH Limited’s entire media-related business and continues to manage – one of Asia’s largest omnichannel media networks.

The app keeps stopping the stream unexpectedly. It often cuts off on its own without warning.

Restoring the favourites section sounds like a great idea. It brings convenience for users when voting for their favorite songs in UFM1003's annual top 1000 list. This feature adds a personal touch, allowing easy access to preferred tracks. Many listeners appreciate having their favorites saved for quick voting. It's an essential part of the experience for music lovers.

Life races by, yet moments linger. Every note resonates deeply. The richness of sound brings joy and warmth. Feel the rhythm. Savor the details. Let each melody wash over you, creating a tapestry of experiences. Embrace the contrasts. In speed, find beauty. In slowness, discover depth. Each moment holds its magic.

The play button stopped working properly. Tapping it doesn't play any music. This issue appeared after the recent update.

You're welcome! It's too bad about the call to FM 91.3. Sometimes they just can't take calls. Hope you have better luck next time! 👍

Frustration hits when signing up and logging in. Decision made to switch to Yee Music. Leaving the station feels like a relief after that ‘One Way Home’ change. Tim's poem, lacking flair, didn't do any favors. The sign-off felt ridiculous. Then there's Simon, stuck reminiscing about his version of the 80s. Yet, Glenn and legendary FD will definitely be missed.

The app opens, and instantly, ads start blaring. They play right over the main radio program. This happens every single time. It feels so disruptive and annoying.
