From your Radio to ActiveComms

1 ActiveComms uses our ActiveBridge technology to create a passthrough from your donor radio or base station that sends your transmissions to us, and we send them through to the ActiveComms users in real time.

2 To facilitate this, you provide us with the radio or base station you’ll be using, and we will provide you with a cable to make the connection.

My pager usually beeps about 30 to 45 seconds before Active911 goes off. I trust my pager. I still check the status of firefighters on their way and look at the maps. It's great to have most of our hydrants mapped out too. It really helps when responding to calls.

Android devices can be a bit tricky with ringtones. You try to change the ringtone for alerts, but it often defaults back to the phone's main tone. Even if you customize the sound in the app, it still reverts. It's frustrating. You also notice that the settings allow alerts to ring during 'do not disturb', but when the phone volume is on silent, there’s no option for that. It just seems like a gap in the features. Would be great to have more control over those sounds and notifications.

You are facing an issue with your device. When you try to get directions, it opens Uber instead of Google Maps. This default setting seems stuck. You want to switch it back to Google Maps. It's frustrating not being able to adjust this.

I reached out to customer service about my issues. They fixed everything for me. Now, I've been using the app without any problems. Huge thanks for the help! The customer service team was fantastic and so friendly.

Always getting better. Customer service is fantastic. They solved a tricky issue by sending over the code that even the city IT department couldn’t track down. One downside is that the tablet screen times out while using the map for navigation. It would be awesome if it could directly open Google Maps.

After checking out these reviews, it's clear that some users are missing a few key points. First, this service relies on the capabilities of your agency's CAD system. Second, the accuracy depends on how well your agency organizes the information from that CAD system. ActiveAlert can only work with the data you give it. Lastly, no need to post resumes in the comments. We see you're a volunteer; we get it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
