Walken - Fitness tracker & motivator

Lately, the step count feature on my android phone isn't working properly. Also, the cost to level up has doubled without increasing the rewards, which makes progress hard. I've been playing for about 2 months now, and if you don't spend money, it seems like it will take forever to see any meaningful return. The app itself works fine with no glitches, but unless some changes are made, it will be a long journey with little payoff. I'll keep playing and update my review if things get better.

Oh no, this app is not working well. It should connect to smartwatches or at least link with the Google Fit app. Why do I have to carry my phone while walking? The app doesn't track steps if the phone is in my pocket. And why hold it while running? Even though Google Fit on the same device counts steps, this app doesn't. They really need to improve the step detection algorithm or collaborate with other apps. It seems like this app is not fully prepared to be launched but ready to take our money.

The app isn't working well and gives a bad experience. Sometimes it's offline and can count steps by detecting motion, which is good. But most of the time, the app needs to be open to detect motion. When it does work, the notification shows a walking emoji which is not great. Please don't mess up the auto-motion function in the next update! Eleven of my friends have stopped using this app because of this problem.

Oh wow, there are a lot of bugs! I can't even upgrade my Cathlete even though I have one Walken in my wallet. The steps aren't being counted correctly. Also, if the steps weren't added to your account during those maintenance days when the app wasn't working (and that's been happening a lot lately), you won't get your gems for those days. It's designed poorly and has too many issues. I'll give it another week. If the issues are still there after that, I won't spend any more time on it. *Update: After a few weeks, the app seems to be improving.

I tried using this app for 15 days and I have to say it's completely useless. It's not worth your time or data to download it. Here are some points: 1) It only counts 25% of your steps, so you earn way less than you should. 2) It's all about paying them first, without getting anything in return. 3) The rewards they offer are so minimal that it would take months and months to earn enough for anything worthwhile at their store, which is most likely just for show.

So, it would be awesome to have a refresh button that can update the steps count and reward gems more often. It would be cool if this button could be used every minute or even every 30 seconds, or maybe there could be an option for the game to refresh automatically. Everything else about the game is fantastic! 👍

After I updated the app, I've been having trouble getting in. It's frustrating that I can't collect my gems right after logging in. Please, developers, address these issues. I tried another update but still can't get into the app. I'm just stuck seeing the bouncing bear on the login screen.

You need a new button to start counting steps. Sometimes the step count doesn't show up on the screen notification. This happens a lot. I've tried closing and opening the app, restarting the phone, but still no notification. I walked 5km on a hill and only counted 138 steps. 😔
