🎯 How can I use putting practice and accuracy on UDisc?

Use this article to learn how to use the putting practice and accuracy tools on UDisc.

Both the Putting Practice and Accuracy Practice tool on UDisc can be accessed by tapping the More tab in the app.

How can I use putting practice on UDisc?

Use the following steps to help you get started with putting practice on UDisc.

Take five attempts from each distance (11ft, 22ft, 33ft, 44ft, 55ft, 66ft) and select the number of putts you made from each zone.

If you don’t want to putt from any particular distance(s) then just don’t tap any number for that zone.

Once you’ve finished your round of practice putting, make sure to hit the orange Save button to save your Putting Scorecard.

Please note: your Circle 1X percentage excludes tap-ins (so the 11ft range does not factor into C1X stats).

How can I use accuracy practice on UDisc?

Accuracy practice allows you to throw twenty shots, five from each of four different distances you selected. Use the following suggestions to help you get started:

If you’d like to practice within a specific range of distance, then choose SHORT (30-60m/100-200ft), MEDIUM (60-90m/200-300ft), or LONG (90-120m/300-400ft).

Selecting CUSTOM will prompt you to choose four distances of your liking, ranging from 30m/100ft to 300m/980 ft.

To make sure you’re keeping stats precisely, we recommend setting up some flags or markers around your target at Circle 2 (20m/66ft), at Circle 1 (10m/33ft), and parked (3.3m/11ft).

Hit the target icon in the upper-left to set the location of your target - it doesn’t need to be a basket for accuracy practice.

Select Done in the upper-right to save your target location and get started on accuracy practice. The number next to the basket icon will tell you how far away from your target you are.

Hit the orange Finish button once you’re done with your round of Accuracy Practice to save your Accuracy Scorecard.

Pro tip! You will earn points based on your performance in Accuracy Practice, and a bonus multiplier for any set of five throws from a specific distance for which you land 4 or more in Circle 2 or better. Backing up your Accuracy Practice to a further distance will earn you higher point values if you’re successful.

I just canceled my subscription that was set to renew in March. I mainly use the app for the scorecard and occasionally to check out hole layouts on new courses. Sure, thirty bucks over a year is under three dollars a month, but I don’t really see what extra benefits I get with the price increase. This used to be part of the PDGA membership. The cost just doesn’t seem worth it anymore. The app is still good though.

This app has some amazing features for disc golfers. It tracks your card's score and lets you share scorecards. You can measure throw distance and search for courses easily. With GPS, it knows exactly which course you’re on, making navigation a breeze. One of my favorite uses is the satellite view map. It helps confirm that I’m at the right tee pad, especially on unfamiliar courses or when layouts change. To share scorecards, there’s a subscription involved, but it's less than $20 for a year. If you're into disc golf and haven't discovered UDisc yet, you'll want to check it out.

The application is impressive. I have a couple of concerns. First, more filtering options for course searches would be helpful. Navigation works but could use some enhancements. I enjoy using the app for many reasons, especially the absence of ads. For the layout map tool, there's no way to add out-of-bounds markers on the map. When marking dog legs, it would be great to specify which direction they lead, whether it's left or right. Overall, the app has a lot of potential!

They are on the right track. Offering a free app for basic course info attracts many users. Charging for extra features adds value. Udisc is doing great work. This business model supports growth in the game.

It's frustrating they don't have tiered subscriptions. The app packs so many features, and for some, $15 a year is a no-brainer. Casual users sit on the sidelines, not needing all that richness. I found value in the $5 a year Pro option. The jump to $15 feels steep, even with a 15% discount they keep offering. I get the workaround of deleting old scorecards to create new ones, but it’s a hassle. I don’t want to support features that mainly benefit heavy users. A lower-cost option for casual users would bring me back as a subscriber.

Wow! This app truly stands out from the crowd. It's packed with features, and navigating through it feels like a breeze. No bugs to trip you up either, which is a huge plus. It delivers way more than you'd think, and everything runs so smoothly. If you're into disc golf, this is definitely the app for you. As someone in app development, I feel inspired by the creativity and skill behind Udisc. It's impressive work!

This app really blows me away. I discovered something cool! The feature for comparing all my rounds at a particular course is located under "courses" in the app, not in "rounds" where I thought it would be. I had no idea it was even there since I searched in the wrong spot. The admins helped me understand this, and now I appreciate the app even more! I bet others might miss this feature too since it's hidden under the "course" tab. Big thanks to UDisc for their quick reply!
