About the app

The Omada application facilitates the setup and management of your Omada equipment. With this app, users can adjust settings, check network status, and oversee client management directly from their smartphone or tablet.

STANDALONE MODE

This mode allows for immediate management of EAPs or wireless routers without the need to configure a controller first. Each unit is managed independently. Standalone mode is ideal for networks featuring only a few EAPs (or wireless routers) that require basic functionalities, such as a typical home network.

CONTROLLER MODE

In contrast, Controller mode integrates with either software Omada Controller or hardware Cloud Controller, making it appropriate for centralized management of multiple devices (including gateways, switches, and EAPs). This mode enables configuration and automatic synchronization of cohesive settings across the devices within the network. Compared to Standalone Mode, Controller mode offers more configuration options and accommodates a larger number of devices.

You have two options to manage devices in Controller mode: Local Access or Cloud Access. Local Access mode allows the Omada app to control devices when both the Controller and your mobile device are on the same subnet; on the other hand, Cloud Access mode permits the Omada app to connect to the Controller via the internet, enabling device management from any location.

Compatibility List:

Currently, Controller mode supports hardware cloud controllers (OC200 V1, OC300 V1) and software Omada Controller versions 3.0.2 and higher. To take advantage of enhanced features and improved service stability, upgrading to a newer controller version is advised.

As for Standalone Mode, it currently accommodates the following models (with the latest firmware):

EAP245 (EU)/(US) V1

EAP225 (EU)/(US) V3/V2/V1

EAP115 (EU)/(US) V4/V2/V1

EAP110 (EU)/(US) V4/V2/V1

EAP225-Outdoor (EU)/(US) V1

EAP110-Outdoor (EU)/(US) V3/V1

EAP115-Wall (EU) V1

EAP225-Wall (EU) V2

ER706W (EU)/(US) V1/V1.6

ER706W-4G (EU)/(US) V1/V1.6

*It is essential to have the latest firmware, which is available for download through the designated source.

Additional supported devices will be added to the app soon!

What's new

1. Added audit log feature to record user operations, enhance network security, and enable operation history backtracking.

2. Optimized app performance and improved overall stability.

This app shines as the top choice for managing your TP-Link network gear. Perfect for anyone using the TP-Link Omada controller, whether it's software or hardware. You can quickly check things or make minor adjustments with ease. It doesn’t flood you with every single function, which keeps it user-friendly and straightforward. Need to restart your POE device? No problem. Want to add or change an SSID or password? Super simple! This app truly excels for managing multiple devices.

Hey developers, I've been exploring the app and it does a great job overall. One thing I really miss is the option to assign standard names to Mac addresses. Keeping track of which address belongs to which device gets tricky. Other than that, the setup was a breeze. I've had no trouble blocking and unblocking Wi-Fi clients whenever I need to, and that's exactly what I wanted!

This app is fantastic. It helps installers a lot. A heat map feature would make it even better.

It immediately asks for my location. No reason for it to need that for managing an access point. Just feels like a sneaky way to collect info on all those private access points out there.

It's awesome that offline configs are a thing. I appreciate having control over my data. As long as I can use your products like this, I'll keep supporting you by buying more!

The app works really well! It's true that the features on mobile are not as extensive as those on the web. But for quick tasks, it’s perfect. The Omada setup is fantastic!

What a hassle! Logging in over and over again. I had to create different usernames and passwords for what feels like no reason. Accessing anything requires multiple logins, even just to view AP details. No option to request or reset my info. I’ve tried every combination I can think of, and now the app is useless. I might ditch it altogether and give the laptop browser a shot. Maybe it will remember all this annoying login info.

Great app overall. I want the option to name my clients. Most devices show up as "unknown" or just "Google home." It becomes tough to identify which devices are out of place or hogging bandwidth.
