Tap & Go is a mobile payment solution proudly offered by HKT Payment Limited, a subsidiary of the HKT Group. This service provides highly secure and dependable Contactless Mobile Payment options for all users.
It features three distinct functions:

What is Tap & Go?
Tap & Go is a new way to pay that turns your phone into a digital wallet. Customers only need to download the Tap & Go mobile wallet on designated iPhone or Android smartphones and use it with the merchant's MasterCard® terminal (including Mastercard contactless payment terminal) or Tap & Go payment terminal to tap the card or make online purchases.
How many Tap & Go mobile wallets can I apply for?
Prior to October 15, 2020, each customer (identified by the customer name and identity information provided during the Tap & Go account application or Know Your Customer process (“Customer Identification”) can hold up to 5 Tap & Go mobile wallets.
Starting from October 15, 2020, each customer can only hold 1 Tap & Go mobile wallet with the same customer identity. A Tap & Go mobile wallet (except Lite account) provides one Tap & Go Mastercard account and one Tap & Go UnionPay account. Tap & Go only provides Lite account customers with one Tap & Go account on their mobile wallet.
If a customer has opened more than one Tap & Go mobile wallet under the same customer identity before October 15, 2020, Tap & Go will only provide one wallet ("Single Mobile Wallet") to you from March 10, 2025, and all services and offers of the related Single Mobile Wallet, including the Tap & Go Mastercard account and Tap & Go UnionPay account related to that account and the related Tap & Go Mastercard card and Tap & Go UnionPay card, will remain unchanged. Other mobile wallets held by the customer under the same customer identity and the accounts and cards associated with such additional mobile wallets will be terminated on March 10, 2025. Can I create a new account to enjoy additional person-to-person transfer limits?
All accounts under the same identity document, regardless of whether they are in the terminated/active or upgraded account status, share the same transfer limit and accumulation calculation. If your account is restricted from transferring out due to reaching the above limits, new accounts under the same identity documents will be subject to the same restrictions.
For example:
If your monthly person-to-person transfer limit is HKD200,000 and you have transferred HKD199,000 out of your account before the account is terminated, the remaining transfer limit for your new account this month will be HKD1,000.
You will not be able to transfer more than HKD 1,000 to your new account until the limit is reset.
