I don't mind ads at the bottom or the top but having multiple full screen ads predatorily placed on the opening screen to look like the setup of the app is disgraceful. Then when you wait 5 seconds for that ad to get a "skip video"button, you have to click a tiny 'x' in the corner to close the ad. THEN the remote shows up for 1 second and by the time you hit something like the volume button, ANOTHER FULL SCREEN AD. This app is like the Internet in 2007 check if you TV has an official remote app

Ad heavy AF. I had 3 or 4 ads pop up before I could even connect to my tv. This app is useless because Roku's official app has no adds plus streams on your phone as well as includes a remote to your Roku device. Did I mention the official Roku app has no ads? God I love that. I'll be uninstalling this one. Maybe the developers should do something more original, with less ads and not so gimmicky. This niche app is obsolete.

Misleading ads. Showing full or partial screen ads using the same font/colors as the app which have buttons like "click to continue" or "click to finish setup" while hiding the actual continue button. This is misleading garbage to trick people into clicking them instead of actually advertising something. Otherwise remote app works fine to control tv. Due to the horrible trick ads, I will avoid using this app unless absolutely necessary and will likely uninstall.

Constant ads. Adjust the volume a few notches / change the channel once and you are followed with an AD. No way to pause/play when streaming from apps without going to the app that is streaming instead of this app. Edit: Response is as poor as the app. Everyone is aware that you use ads to make money, but if I have to watch multiple ads before I finish adjusting the volume, I'll just download a competitor's app with less ads. Plenty of remote apps to choose from.

    I tried three apps that claim to be universal remote controls, but none of them connected to my TV. I downloaded this app and it worked perfectly on the first try. Now I can control the volume and channels easily. It's a small price to pay for such a useful tool, especially since I lost my remote two weeks ago.

    The app has way too many ads. I understand that ads are needed for revenue, but these ones are really pushy and feel like they're trying to trick you into clicking on them by looking like part of the app. They keep popping up too often, which makes it hard to use the app. It's a shame because otherwise, the app seems to do what it promises.

    I couldn't find my remote. Thought about buying a new one from Amazon but then I thought, let's see if I can control the TV with my phone. Found this app and it actually works. There are too many ads, but the controller works fine.

    There are too many ads which is annoying. I get that ads are needed but it feels like there's one after every action. The app can be unreliable, sometimes it works fine, other times it doesn't. It scrolls through the apps on my TV smoothly, but when I try to open an app, nothing happens. Plus, there's a noticeable delay when I press a button and the response time.

    You can watch a bunch of ads on this app while you fiddle with your remote for half an hour. It's got tons of them, seriously, an ad pops up every time you click something. I got rid of it because it felt too sneaky and money-hungry. There are other apps that offer the same without trying to deceive you into clicking ads. Plus, it seems to have issues connecting with LG TVs (but Sony and Samsung ones work fine).

    It would be great if we could adjust the TV volume using the app. The Roku model is 3941X - Roku Express 4K+, connected to a Vizio E241i-B1 TV. I can control the Vizio TV volume with both the Roku and Vizio remotes, showing that the Roku has some control over the TV, not just its device. However, this option is missing in the app when connected to the Roku.

    This app is really good and has all the features you need. It's great for temporarily supplementing if you lose or break your remote. I have to be honest, though, I probably won't give it 5 stars because of the ads. I understand they are necessary to support the company, but they do get annoying after a while. Still, it's a very solid app, and I'm happy I came across it. It's been really helpful for me, and I'm enjoying using it! 😍

    My TV remote got chewed up by the dog, so I decided to install this app. The setup was really simple. The app quickly located my Samsung TV and asked for permission to connect on both the phone and TV. I confirmed on the phone, but then realized I needed to confirm on the TV as well. It's kind of silly because you need a working remote to do that, which defeats the whole point and renders the app useless. But it seems like others have managed to make it work, so maybe it's just an issue with Samsung TVs.
