Introduction

This audio player offers a variety of features like a parametric equalizer, surround sound, volume normalization, a high-quality resampler, and a multiband visual indicator. It supports multiple audio formats such as OGG, MP3, FLAC, etc., and different audio output plugins. You can play from NFSv3 or Samba servers. With a scrollable seek bar, it's convenient for long recordings. It can stream internet radio and has customizable sound effects. But be aware of potential issues with certain plugins and disable other sound-managing apps for better quality. Enjoy an enhanced music listening experience with this unique audio player.

* Native AudioTrack (this mode may be unstable due to reliance on a non-public API)

* NFSv3 server (requires "insecure" option in /etc/exports)

* Samba server

How to use

The player is designed without using platform-specific sound effects, allowing for an equalizer that can feature more than five (or even ten) bands. You have the ability to create a bass booster using the PEQ filter and incorporate it into the audio processing chain, including multiple instances of the same type of filter.

The player comes with a scrollable seek bar, making it easier to navigate through long audio recordings (like those captured by a voice recorder). The seek bar can be activated with a long click.

This player can stream internet radio. Users can add or modify URLs within the internal database.

Sound effects include:

1.(PEQ) Parametric Equalizer, which allows you to adjust frequency and bandwidth by adding or removing bands. Settings for additional filters can also be loaded via a menu that appears with a long click on the filter within the list.

2.(Simple surround) Simple surround effects that enhance audio quality when listening through headphones by providing a sense of external speaker fill (3D sound). This filter is currently under development.

3.(Volume normalizer) This filter compresses the dynamic range, making it suitable for listening in noisy environments such as buses or trains. You can customize the filter settings and save your preferences.

Visual effects include:

1.(MBI) Multiband Indicator that resembles the multi-band meters seen on stereo systems popular in the ‘90s. You can access the most recent PEQ settings linked to the MBI directly from the main screen by clicking on it.

NOTES:

1.Disable any applications that manage sound settings (such as equalizers with limited band options) as they may degrade sound quality.

2.The audio effects provided are exclusive to this player and do not apply to others.

3.Certain audio output plugins utilize private APIs, which could result in instability; however, if they perform better than OpenSL, feel free to use them.
