My Conversations
Find conversations you've recorded or imported in My Conversations. Then, share a conversation with someone or a Channel.
Import an audio or video file
Otter allows you to import existing audio or video files for transcription.
1. Click the Import in the top right. On your mobile device, tap .
2. Select a file to import.
3. The file will upload to Otter and transcribe the voice audio.
Shared Conversations
You can find conversations that others have shared with you in Shared with Me.
Note: You cannot delete conversations that are shared with you.
Folders
You can organize your conversations by creating folders within your Otter account to help you find them more easily.
Account profile and settings
To update the basic info in your profile and change your settings, click your profile photo or initial in the top left > Account Settings.
The account settings page enables you to configure and manage your account. Here are some of the things you can do:
Update your profile photo, email, and password.
Add custom vocabulary such as acronyms, names, product terms, or jargon that are unique to your organization to increase accuracy.
Manage your Otter subscription and payment details.
Connect apps and services to centralize and streamline your workflows.
Manage notifications to keep you informed about things that need your attention and how to customize them to suit your needs.
Home page
The recent activity is a feed on your Otter home page is your first stop to find content that matters from people who matter to you. You can view conversations and updates from your team in the feed and easily share them with others.
With the Otter for Google and Microsoft calendar add-on, you can view upcoming meetings and receive reminder notifications.
How to purchase
If you're not using Otter yet, you'll need to sign up for the free Basic plan first using your school's email address (e.g., john.smith@stanford.edu). If you're already using Otter, follow the steps below.
1. Sign in to your Otter.ai account.
2. Click your profile in the upper left corner.
3. Click the Upgrade plan link. Or click Account settings and click the Plan tab.
4. Click the Student & Teacher Discount link under the plan columns.
Tip: If you are not using your school's email address, you can update your email address in Account Settings > General > Profile to proceed.
Proceed through the checkout process to complete the purchase.
