OFO - Make new friends is a free-to-download social and communication app where you can meet people that share your interests. You can also join chat groups, send virtual gifts, and have a great time with strangers. However—like other chatting apps—it is not exactly free from fraudsters and scammers. 

Since OFO - Make new friends doesn’t feature an account verification system, this makes it difficult for you to discern between fake and genuine users. Sudden logouts are an issue, as well. If that happens, you have little to no chance of signing back into your account unless you made a new one.

Chat with anyone you like

Online friendships can be as meaningful as those in real life. If you don’t mind establishing platonic relationships online, check out OFO - Make new friends. Upon creating a new account, you’ll be asked to provide your gender, interests, name, and sexual orientation, to name a few. It also comes with an age slider that lets you set the age range of the people you want to interact with.

Much like Tinder, you can swipe your screen to the right if a person has caught your eye. From there, you can chat about anything under the sun — from food to video games. It also has chat rooms you can join and leave at any time. You can send virtual gifts or frames, too, though they cost coins — which is the app’s premium virtual currency.

On your profile page, you can add more photos or edit your bio. Linking your Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok is possible, as well. However, you can no longer change your birthday. The app also has an issue where accounts get banned even if the user did not violate community guidelines. In addition, you can come across catfishers and annoying chatbots.

Vigilance is key

OFO - Make new friends opens up opportunities for forging new relationships. With its age slider and Tinder-inspired swipe function, you have control over the people you want to interact with. Virtual gifts can be sent to other users, as well. While meeting new people is fun, it’s best to protect yourself and exercise vigilance given the number of catfishers and scammers lurking in the app.
