NTV GREEN SCREEN PROJECT
Since 2008, NTV has been supporting environmental issues under the name "Green Screen". The aim of the project is to draw attention to environmental problems, increase social awareness on environmental issues, find answers to all questions about "green" issues and correct misconceptions.
NTV includes various programs on many different topics such as global warming, renewable energy, organic foods and green holidays in its broadcast schedule. The project is also supported by other brands of Doğuş Broadcasting Group. Doğuş Broadcasting Group has been deemed worthy of various awards by civil society organizations and academic institutions for its efforts and contributions to environmental issues.
Other projects...
In addition to the Green Screen and NTV Supports, Doğuş Broadcasting Group's other social responsibility projects over the years can be listed as follows;
NTV donated the advertising revenue it earned from its 2009 New Year's program to the Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care Association. The association has been working for years to open Pediatric Intensive Care and Emergency units in many cities of Turkey. NTV also donated a portion of its advertising revenue from the New Year's program to purchase mechanical ventilators and artificial respirators for Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care Units. Two VENTILOGIC artificial respirators were donated through ÇAYD, one to the Çapa Medical Faculty Pediatric Emergency and Intensive Care Unit and the other to the Adana Çukurova University Pediatric Emergency and Intensive Care Unit.
NTV's "We Add Schools" campaign, which was carried out in collaboration with Unicef on April 23, 2007, aimed to collect donations for 100 new classrooms, and thanks to NTV's day-long broadcasts, donations were collected for 125 new classrooms.
Again, in 2007, in line with the "Photographs of Turkey Through the Eyes of Children" project, which was carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education and NTVMSNBC, a total of 512 primary school students in 8 provinces were given theoretical and practical training on taking photographs. A special project page was created on NTVMSNBC for the photographs taken by the children over a two-week period, and the photographs were shared with the public through a virtual exhibition.
The "Something Changes, Everything Changes" campaign, which NTV Radio carried out in collaboration with TOÇEV in 2006. In the first leg of the campaign, cooperation was established with the Ministry of National Education, and as a result of the donations collected, bags that would meet the stationery needs of 17,000 primary school students with limited educational opportunities in 12 provinces were delivered. In the second leg of the campaign, coats and boots were delivered to 23,000 primary school students. The same campaign was continued in 2007 and all Doğuş Broadcasting Group brands, primarily NTV Radio, supported the campaign.
In 2005, donations were collected by clicking on the links on the website with the “Computer Education Support Campaign” organized by NTVMSNBC in order to support the “Computer Education Campaign” of the Ministry of National Education.
On December 10, 2003, NTV made a special Human Rights Day broadcast called “10 Hours on December 10”. Questions about human rights were received through the call center set up in the studio and answered by expert guests throughout the broadcast.
