Mahesh joined the Admin team at Next Education as an office boy. His daily duties included serving visitors with refreshments and fulfilling requests of employees.

Next Education has a dynamic Production team, which performs all the production work in-house. The Creative Head of the team Vinod Raj who needed help in setting up lighting during outdoor shoots sought Mahesh’s help. Mahesh being a fast learner, soon learnt to set up the camera and lighting, and worked closely with the crew during shoots. It was not an easy task to learn the handling of all the equipment without training, but Mahesh displayed exceptional skills.Vinod closely observed his learning and growth and was impressed. Seeing his diligence and motivation to learn, Vinod offered him the role of Lighting Executive and provided him with relevant job training. To hone his leadership skills, Vinod further put together a team of 5 to 6 people under Mahesh.

Mahesh ably showed his leadership skills and went on to head the Lighting Department at Next Education. His journey was steeped in learning and acquiring new skills that are generally taught only at the best training schools.
