MTN MoMo SA - Mobile money transfers

Oh man, what a scam! So you know how they offer you this "free 1GB" for signing up? But here's the catch - it's a total pain to even get it because they drag their feet sending you the voucher. And on top of that, guess what? It only lasts for an hour! Talk about lousy advertising. They reel you in with false promises just to sign up for something you could easily do with your regular banking app that you most likely already have. Such a shady move.

So, I've been using this app for two years. Just the other day, I updated it. When I tried logging in, it said my account was blocked! This is strange because I never had any issues before the update. I reached out to customer service but no response yet.

You know what's really awesome? MTN MoMo is the ultimate champ when it comes to making life simpler. Imagine being able to handle all your needs through just one app, like even doing some bank stuff. It's designed to be super cool and super smooth.

So, I've been using this app for a while, and everything was fine until now. I just can't get it to open. I tried turning off my mobile data and then turning it back on, restarting my phone—nothing works. It just doesn't want to open. It's really frustrating!

It was a really awful experience with the app being utterly useless and the call center agents not being of much help either. This is actually the first time I am leaving such a negative review for any app. I've been really trying hard to find something good about the app, but it just isn't clicking. Getting money transferred to my bank account takes ages, and there doesn't seem to be any other sensible way to withdraw money from the app. On top of that, they couldn't even cancel a food voucher for me. It's been three days since I made the complaint, but there has been no response yet.

The app keeps messing up when I try to do things. So, I've started using my bank app again. It's way more convenient and trustworthy. Trying to buy data is so frustrating, all I get are errors. This app is not helpful at all, they really need to rethink this momo thing from scratch.

The service was terrible. The only good thing about it is that you can buy betting vouchers and their 1-hour R5 1GB data. I cashed out using Nedbank Send Imali, and it's been eight days now, but I still haven't received the voucher number. I tried calling and sending emails, but they were no help at all. It's just useless.

This app is super important, but it's down for long stretches sometimes. It can go on for hours in a single day. There's no heads-up about any maintenance work going on that might be causing these long glitches. It's really annoying when it's not working properly. However, when it does work, it's excellent - a solid 10 out of 10! We just wish it'd be more dependable.
