Migrate is a lightweight, open-source Android utility that puts you back in control of your personal data. Designed with privacy and simplicity in mind, it lets you create complete, offline backups of your call logs, SMS messages and contacts—no cloud accounts, no ads, no tracking. Whether you’re switching phones, flashing a custom ROM, or just want an extra safety net, Migrate keeps your most important conversations and contacts just a tap away.

Call Logs / Call History – full chronological records with duration & type (incoming, outgoing, missed).

– Notification Access – minimal, silent alerts when a backup or restore job finishes.

HOW TO USE

Create a Backup

• Main screen ▸ “Backup”

• Toggle Call Logs, SMS, Contacts (or any combination).

• Tap “Start Backup”; choose a folder on internal storage or SD card.

• A timestamped ZIP archive is generated—move it to PC, cloud or keep it locally.

Restore Your Data

• Fresh phone / new ROM ▸ install Migrate again.

• Open Migrate ▸ “Restore” ▸ pick the backup ZIP.

• Follow the prompts:

– Contacts will launch the system importer.

– SMS will ask you to set Migrate as the default SMS app temporarily—tap “Yes”, then “Restore”; Migrate will revert to your preferred SMS app automatically.

– Call Logs are written directly—no extra steps.

Automation & Scheduling (Pro Tips)

• Use any Android automation app (Tasker, MacroDroid) to trigger nightly backups via the Migrate Shortcut activity.

• Rename backup files toYYYY-MM-DD_Migrate.zipfor easy chronological sorting.

• Store backups on an encrypted micro-SD or an OTG USB drive for extra security.
