How to obtain and use app passwords
How to create an app password
To create an app password, follow these steps. You can repeat these steps to create app passwords for as many apps or devices as you need.
Go to the Advanced Security option in your Microsoft account dashboard and scroll down to the App passwords section.
Enter your app password where you would normally enter your normal Microsoft account password in the app.
Note: This step is usually not necessary once an application password has been created and entered for a given application or device.
I forgot my app password.
App passwords are unique for each login, so you don't need to remember passwords.
If for some reason you need to enter your credentials again, just create a new app password.
Forgot your Microsoft account username
Use a security contact phone number or email address to access your username.

Request a security code to be sent to the phone number or email address you use.
Enter the code and select it.
Next, we will display a hint for the user name in this format: j********@outlook.com
hint:
A phone number or other email address can be used as login security information for multiple accounts.
If you don't recognize the phone or email alert, see My username and password stopped working.
You can't find your username
If the username lookup is unsuccessful, try to find your Microsoft account username in other products or services that you know are associated with that account. Read Review Your Product or Service to learn how.
