Do I need a separate password and username for the app and My Account?

If you are on the Lucky Mobile network, your device will recognize your phone number and grant you immediate access to the app – no username or password needed. If you are not on the Lucky Mobile network, or you want to manage a different Lucky Mobile account with the app, you can use your My Account credentials to access the app. Haven’t signed up to My Account yet? Sign up for My Account now.

Do I need data to use the app?

No. The app is free, and using it doesn’t require any data. Please note that the initial download of the app requires data. We recommend that you connect to a Wi-Fi network to download the app if you don’t have data in your Plan.

What if I want to do something the app doesn’t do?

Should you wish to make a change to your account that is not supported by the app at this time, you can log in to My Account. Check the list of your Self serve options.

To use the Lucky Mobile My Account app, you will need:

A smartphone capable of downloading the app.

Android smartphones with Android 6.0 or higher

iPhone with iOS 9.0 or higher

A valid Lucky Mobile account.

Why do I need to have funds in my account?

You need to have enough funds in your account to cover your Total Monthly Charge (Plan + Add-Ons) in advance of your Monthly Charge Date in order to enjoy uninterrupted service. We highly recommend you keep additional funds in your account balance for instances where you might want to buy extras like Service Passes, International Calling, and additional data.

The most convenient way to ensure you always have enough funds in your account to cover your Total Monthly Charge is with Automatic Top-Up.

How do I add or remove Add-Ons?

The easiest ways to manage your Add-Ons is through the Lucky Mobile My Account app and MyAccount.

How to manage your Add-ons with the Lucky Mobile My Account app:

Open the Lucky Mobile My Account app

Select the Services tab at the bottom of your screen.

Scroll down to “Add-Ons” and click ‘Manage’.

Select the Add-Ons category you want to manage. Then, simply select or unselect Add-Ons to add or remove them.

Once completed, click ‘Done’ and ‘Review Changes’.

Select ‘Submit Changes’ once you’re ready

How to manage your Add-ons with My Account:

Head to MyAccount and log in

Follow the on-screen instructions to change, add, and/or remove Add-Ons.

To remove an existing Add-On, visit Your Current Add-Ons and Promotional data. Simply uncheck the box beside the Add-On you want to remove.

To get a new Add-On, visit Available Add-Ons. Make your selections and hit Continue at the bottom of the page.

Review your selection and click Submit.

    I decided to give Lucky a shot despite the mixed reviews. The service blew me away. I can't understand why people rate it low. The value is fantastic. Kudos to Lucky! The app is so easy to navigate. I can check my usage or dive deep into specifics. I can top up, pay for my plan, and add features all on my own. The support is solid too, with FAQs and an online chat option available.

    The UI struggles to scale in certain areas related to accounts. Reviewing or making changes becomes a real challenge. The service has issues with call reception. It feels like you might miss calls at random times. Closing an account leads to another problem. Any remaining credits disappear. They simply keep your money.

    Lucky stopped providing calls over wifi. Now I find myself in the same situation as before with unreliable phone service. We used to have a wired phone, but it didn't work well, so we canceled it. Our farm is in a weak cell area, leading to poor or nonexistent connections. I often drive somewhere with better coverage or rely on Skype and Facebook Messenger. It’s really frustrating. I lowered my rating from 5 to 1 because the main reason I wanted a cell phone was for those wifi calls.
